My fibro pain is acting up :( Haven't been able to do anything. I'll be doing stretches today and yoga tomorrow. Hopefully that loosens me up a bit.

Sorry gang I out on this one. I went to the ER Saturday with chest pains, the verdict ....costochondritis. So I am on pain meds and anti inflammatories, hoping next week I can get back in the game. That being said I am still tracking, and trying to eat at the bottom of my calorie range. Trying really hard not to just throw in the towel.

Goal 1000 fitness minutes/month!

I may not be to the finish line yet--but at least I am in the race!

A healthy me is up to ME!!!!!

Really need this challenge. I have been trying to get back into the habit of exercise lately. Aiming for at least 10 minutes every day instead of telling myself I don't feel like doing 30 - 60 minutes that day. Have had chest congestion the past couple of months and pretty much any activity makes me miserable...but at least 10 minutes shouldn't be so bad. :)

I normally do 20 mins 4 days a week I will aim to do 30 mins 5 days per week or 6 depending on how busy my weekend is.

I'm in, this sounds like a great challenge. I am currently doing 15 minutes 5 days per week so I will go for 25 each day.

I'm in the goal will be to get at least 40 min each day for me.
Starting weight 2/10 = 251.2

Monday: Did 30 min workout, 2 -15 min walks at work= 1pt
Tuesday:30 min morning workout done, 2- 15min walks at work=1pt
Wednesday- no points today I didn't even get my regular workout in on time I had to double up-0pts
Thursday- 30min morning workout from Wednesday done :) and 30min workout today, plus 15min walk-1pt
Friday- 30min workou and 3 walks at work!
Saturday- I did nothing today :(- 0pts
Sunday-30min dvd, 10 min walk= 1pts


2/17/14 weight 252.8 , I went up this week. I gotta get this eating together

I do between 30 to 40 min a day. This past week I had problem do to my ankle sprain. Time to move back up.


Start weight: 255.4

2/10: only did 30 min today. Between a groin pull and swollen ankle it was difficult to even be motivated for exercise. Proud I got that much done.
2/11: Acky and sick was able to do 28
2/12: Acky and sick did 30 minutes
2/13: same as above but sitting exercise this time.
2/14: 1 point
2/15:
2/16: 1 point

2 points total. I will take it

End weight: 253.6

I'm not sure if I will succeed this week getting 10 extra minutes. I got this damn cold now and a bum ankle. I feel like a mess. I'm more proud that I can get anything done this week then succeeding with 10 minutes right now.

I am in and because I do well over 60 minutes a day I will crank it up!

2/10 pushed a little harder on my 30 minut4es run
2/11 pushed my self on bike to 86 mph!
2/12 ran an extra minute on my normal 30 minute run
2/13 did more weights
2/14 I did an 30 minutes walk
2/15 did a harder dvd
2/16 did some step ups

I'm absolutely in for this one!!!! I haven't worked out in over and week and this is exactly what I need to get back in a good spot! My weigh-in days are Wednesday, but I'll go ahead and weigh tomorrow and the following Monday to get an accurate start/stop for this. :D

Start weight: 241.8

2/10: 40 minutes of cardio/upper body!!!
2/11: 40 minutes of cardio
2/12: 30 minutes Leslie Sansone
2/13: 15 minutes core
2/14: nothing...today is my LONG work day
2/15: does 6+ hrs of shop/walking count for anything? lol
2/16: absolutely nothing...TOM BAD!!!!

End weight: 245.4 :( this TOM is kicking my butt this month

Monday- did an extra 10 minutes on treadmill with 10 minutes of that at a faster pace than normal
Tuesday- did 10 minutes of faster pace than normal with 15 minutes of higher incline than normal.
Wednesday- 40 minutes of higher incline and 12 minutes of faster than normal pace.
Thursday- went grocery shopping. Does that count? Putting up with people trying to find the perfect valentines gift. Was not fun.
Friday-10 extra minutes of walking today.
Saturday- did 15 minutes of faster than normal pace and kept the incline up for the whole 45 minute walk.
Sunday- did 5 minutes at a faster pace and a higher incline, and kept up the faster pace for 15 minutes.

all total ? Did all 7 days.

Happy Sunday night, HLC-ers!! Are you ready for a new challenge week?

For this week, take your usual fitness minutes and add 10 minutes. If you usually do 30 minutes, shoot for 40. If you aren't currently working out, start with 10 minutes.

If you normally do more than 60 minutes of fitness per day, your challenge this week is to crank it up. On a treadmill, increase your speed or incline. On an elliptical or rower, increase your resistance. If you are doing strength training, increase your weight on a couple of exercises.

Earn 1 point for each day you do either of the options above. Don't forget to post your starting and ending weight for the week next Monday.

Remember to be safe as you are adding minutes or increasing weight/resistance.
