Chickpea Vegetable Soup with Parmesan and Rosemary: delicious! I love soup and I'm always looking or filling but tasty options, and this one was flavorful and satisfying. This soup is easy to make, healthy and appealing to the taste buds!

(Give Your Review - It's Worth 20 Bonus Points!) Okay, I know it's not the healthiest thing on the planet, but I have always been very wary of trying them. My friend and I went out for Thai food and I tried lots of new items. The main dish my friend ordered was way too spicy and I don't remember the name of it, so I went with the wontons. They were EXCELLENT! I only had one though, so as not too blow my calories completely off the scale. :)

The new Food or Recipe I tried was: Quinoa, fruit & nuts with balsamic vinegar
I tried something like this that my friend bought at Whole Foods and decided to make it myself. I mixed quinoa with balsamic vinegar, a tiny bit of sesame oil, carrot shreds, raisins, clementines, pecans and wasabi almonds. I added a tiny bit of feta, less than a serving spread between 3 people. It was VERY good. My husband and daughter both loved it, too.

New recipe: Silverbrite Salmon Filet with Lemon and Dill. Had never used this type of Salmon before...cooked it in my Turbo Cooker with water, 1 tsp lemon juice, 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil, dill and other spices. Was delicious! (20 points)

Pound out a chicken breast, cut up broccoli, stir in cherry tomatoes and mushrooms, spoon in 2 TBS pesto and bake in the oven until chicken is done (about 20-25 min) delicious, low carb, low fat and very filling!

Pav Bahji-- Vegetarian Indian Potatoes and Cauliflower and I really liked it. The masala spice was excellent (I'd never had it before). I made it a bit spicier than the recipe calls for because I wanted something with a kick. But it was yummy and filling.

It was FANTASTIC! I made it with salmon instead of chicken. And added some of the sauce to the salsa (I didn't use it as a marinade, I used it instead to deglaze my pan.)

New recipe: Beef Stew w/o potatoes. I really just made up a recipe but it turned out great!! used beef boullion as the base, added beef, tomatoes, carrots, onions and celery and a little flour to thicken it up.

The new Food or Recipe I tried was: Baked Cod w/onion, garlic and dill and braised bok choy. Very good! The recipe called for drizzling Bragg Amino Acids over the bok choy and steaming it in a pan. Had never used the amino acids product and had never had bok choy. It turned out very good. Also the bok choy has mushrooms and sesame seed. yummy!

The new Food or Recipe I tried was: Sauteed Crawfish
I changed it up a bit by using extra virgin olive oil to sautee the crawfish tails with onions, bell and red peppers. Iused lots of cayenne pepper along with cajun seasoning. Instead of serving over white rice I had wild and brown rice mix with a side of steamed carrots. This was awesome!! There was so much flavor in everything. This was pleasing to the eye and palette.

Stuffed Pork Chops (from spark recipes)…..MMMMMMMM….Good!
My mom is allergic to mushrooms so we substituted Cream of Chicken soup. Came out pretty tasty. Would definitely make again since “most” of the family liked it. 

4/1/11
Sort of made it up but VERY yummy and VERY filling. Turkey burger (garlic powder, Salsa, Mrs Dash mixed in the ground turkey meat), fried peppers with 1 tbsp of reduced sodium soy sauce, Garlic and Herb Laughing Cow Cheese on a whole wheat tortilla and add fresh spinach. .

The new Food or Recipe I tried was: Fresh Hawaiian Smoothie - My bf and I, along with his kids absolutely loved it, We all enjoyed it while playing the Wii yesterday and today. The new Food or Recipe I tried was:
canned turkey noodle casserole. It was made with wheat rigatoni noodles, low fat mozzarella cheese, fat free milk, fat free sour cream and lots of frozen mixed vegetables!!! TOTALLY YUMMY!! just the right amount of dairy ingredients that it didn't make the casserole feel heavy with dry noodles.
