NOT the 5 I was going for, but I am still starting 2014 at a smaller weight. I am very happy to be out of the 250's!! I plan on keeping it that way as well.

I lost EXACTLY 5 pounds from the day before this was posted to today. Does that count? emoticon

In fairness....On the day I personally joined the challenge, I weighed 276, I have lost 4.5 pounds since then. So, I fell a little short, but I'll take it! (Or rather LEAVE it!)

I want to congratulate everyone on their success! I still got to get used to being on the board more so forgive me about being last miinute with my numbers :)
The challenge started off good for me was down 2lbs the 1st week...then LIFE changed things up. Ice storm struck, no power, STRESS, stuck in a small motel room for a week and basically i let stress run me. BUT got back to business... I didn't get my 5lbs total BUT I did get 4 :)

I really enjoyed this challenge. I had a lot of food yesterday that could have made me fail or gain weight. I chose to eat in moderation because I really wanted to succeed in this challenge. Being so close to the goal Monday really kept me in check.

Since I work Graveyard I will be doing the final weigh in when I wake up later tomorrow evening. I am not expecting anything actually lol just not a gain. This challenge made me challenge my consistency which was severly lacking. I figured I would try to stay on track as much as possible to see if I could reap any rewards and I did! So I am grateful for this challenge in that respect and hope this is a habit I can take with me into the New Year!

I'm not going to weigh myself until the morning on New Year's day. That ought to keep my New Year's Eve actions in check! I'll be thinking about the fact that I have to weigh in for this challenge! I need 271 for the challenge, but my mind is set on 270! *fingers crossed*

I'm so sorry JAMBABY! I'm still in that stage where I'm losing pretty quickly. But I know that will stop soon. I hope I have it in me to keep going even when the scale ticks me off!

It would have been lower--but I totally had a piece of pie at midnight--however there is no more pie in this house=) I seem to suffer from the 'don't waste' mind set--something new to work on for 2014.

On another note--I am heading to the gym, in about 10 minutes--and I will totally kill my 1000 minute goal. Time to start thinking about what I want my goals to be in 2014.--I don't make resolutions, I set goals for myself, for my relationships, and my family.

Down another 2 for 4 pounds total. I'm happy with that loss, even if I don't drop another pound by the 1st.

Teresa, I've read that carbs can make you retain water, so maybe water is masking your loss.

Try to watch the carbs the next 2 days.
My fats were higher then I like yesterday. I weighed myself Sunday out of curiousity and I was 1 pound less yesterday then today. Everything counts and knowing what your body does if it eats too much in one area may help.

SEVERINA: What are your fats and carbs looking to be around? Are they in the high, middle or low range of your nutrition guide?
I notice even though I am in range with fat and carb if it is in the higher range I tend to gain weight even though my calories are normal.

Everyone is really making this challenge count emoticon

For myself, I am just happy that I am still holding steady at Monday's weight because this NEVER happens. Usually I weigh in, and my weight goes up 4 pounds, and works itself down throughout the week. I am planning on staying on track through the week, hoping to score a loss on Monday so I can finish 2013 out with a bang.

To be very honest, my "sticking to the plan" hasn't been very sticky since the day we started this. We went away the weekend before Christmas, which meant a lot of eating out and then baking and Christmas happened. And I've been working on polishing off the homemade cinnamon buns I made for Christmas morning (holy butter and sugar!) so I know I'm lame, but I didn't want to have to track that so I just haven't been tracking. I work tomorrow though and I'm usually so busy that I don't even get a chance to breathe, let alone over eat. I don't want to finish 2013 not caring, so I'm back on the bandwagon.

I did really well with Christmas lunch! I ate even less than expected. However, when we got home we ordered chinese food and I went over on my calories. Luckily, I have otherwise been doing pretty well, and drinking a lot of water. This a.m. I stepped on the scale and I was 275, which is 1.5 lbs lighter than before! So, whew! Nothing I can't overcome :) I'm still shooting for 270 by new years day :)

Well that's great then! See, we can do this! I had some desserts but I was strong and limited myself so that I wouldn't go over my range. I wonder if I lost. I guess I will check in the morning since it's too late today to know.

I stayed within my nutrition guidelines. My fat was higher then I personally liked but I wanted a little scalloped potatoe......mmmmmmmm
I stepped on the scale to see if I caused any problems with my eating these past few days and I lost a little weight. I was happy to see that I didn't gain weight so the minor weight loss was a blessing in my eyes.

Happy Day After Christmas, or Boxing Day(if you celebrate it)!!!

Stepped on the scale this A.M. and was pleasantly surprised to see no gain!!!
Yesterday I made a point of having a protein shake for breakfast with 3 servings of fruit, since I knew I probably wouldn't be getting it in later.
Drank only ice water, no soda or eggnog for me, and just had a portion of the stuff I really wanted, with a few cookies tossed in. Didn't have dinner, I really wasn't hungry, but had a few pickles, olives, and slices of celery, so I would have some calories, and went to bed early, I was soooooooo beat.

I am off to the gym to get in some cardio, and my lower body strength training, then 30 minutes in the hot tub, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
