I've been walking - tracking minutes - but will be digging out my pedometer to track distance!

JESSIKA_56 - I am training for a 5K next week... had a major setback w/ health issues last month. Was running 20+ minutes before the issues... now can't run longer than 5 minutes! So, I'm doin' a whole lotta walkin' to try to build my stamina & endurance back up!

Last week I averaged 3.29 miles a day (based on my pedometer). Keep walking!!! emoticon

Hey! I did my regular weekly walk today, on Sunday!!
That is 1 1/2 miles.
I was sitting here at my computer and my DH said I thought you told me you were going to walk on the weekends too this month!!
(Teaches me to tell him anything!!! LOL)
So I got up and went for a walk!!

Thanks Gail. I have one but not very fancy and never thought it was very accurate. I figured out my mileage around the neighborhood by driving around in the car! LOL

I didn't get my extra walk in today but did go to the festival downtown and parked two blocks away and walked to it, walked around for a couple of hours too. So I may have gotten a mile in.
I know I got more walking in then I usually do on a week end!

Great idea!! I love walking too and is the main and about the only exercise that I am able to do.
I walk 1 1/2 or 2 miles a day Monday through Friday. So I will try to add Sat and Sun to that this month.

Hi everyone!! If you know anything about me, you know I LOVE to walk!! So this month, I'm encouraging everyone to get out a try it!! Take a walk, park farther away from the front door, take the stairs, etc! Whatever your fitness level, there is something you can do to challenge yourself this month!

My goal is to walk at least a mile a day, even on rest days.

Anyone with me?
