Challenges are a good way to remind us to be active in everything including the sparkteams, seeing others success is motivating. Plus the blogs and stories are educational.

I think I will add a dollar to a jar everytime I get 100 points, same as the pennies but I can't deal with all those coins!

Nothing's gonna stop me now.

Wow!! The penny challenge is a great idea, I like things that are concrete and visual. I have gotten a quart of pennies (in a jar)and a second jar and as I get points and meet my mini-goals, I am moving the pennies from the full jar to my "goal" jar. Then as it fills, I roll em, and put them in my reward drawer for a cruise.... Sounds silly, but it works for me.

Many people have found that doing the many different things to earn spark points helps then to be successful in learning a new and healthy lifestyle. To help that, some people decided to save a penny for each spark point they earn and use the savings for a special little treat along the way. That is all the Penny Challenge is - a way to make earning spark points fun and provide a reward.

Sometime we forget to do the various things that will help up lead a healthier lifestyle. The daily reminders are just that - the various things that you should be doing on a daily basis to change your life. This is an explanation of each of them. You can respond with how your are doing each day if you want.

Exercise - We should get up and move each day. Start from where you are and work to do more as you can. Everyone is at a different place and you should not compare your results with anyone elses.

Water - We all should be drinking at least eight glasses of water each day. This does not have to be just water, but can be any liquid. Water is the best because it has no calories and no caffine. But any liquid will work.

Personal Challenge - This is where you can work on any one (or more) things that you want to for a period of time. It can change when you want it to. Perhaps you have something you want to work on around the house or you want to do something that you have not. It is up to you what this is.

Fruits/Vegetables - We probably do not eat enough fruits and/or Vegetables each day. We should have at least five servings total each day. This is just a reminder to make sure you are including the fruits and/or vegetables in your diet to make it well rounded.

Penny Challenge - For me, earning Spark Points is one way to work to change my lifestyle. Doing the various activities that earn Spark Points (like recording what I am eating, my exercise, posting messages (connecting with others), and all the other ways of earning points) help me to do this. Some people suggested setting aside one penny for each Spark point earned each day and then using the money saved for a special treat each month.

These reminders are just that - something to remind you of things you should be doing. If you respond to them, you can earn some more Spark points.
