Well I did my race on Saturday... I came in 9th in the Clydesdale division (men between 185 and 199 lbs.) and beat my goal time of 85 minutes by over 5 minutes (1:18:59). The course was very hilly and difficult and it was windy but it was a well organized and fun race. It was nice to do a different course and a different length.

Next up is the Mini Mighty Man Sprint Triathlon in April!

I've enjoyed the course through Nissequouge for the Turkey Trot 5K. I like the course because it's different, wooded, hilly, etc. Looking forward to it!

I just looked at the map for the race and it starts at the New Discovery Nursery school on Lawrence Road. It looks like it does go through part of the park too.

You know, I am not sure of the exact course... I have run the Turkey Trot there the past couple of years and that does go through the park. Kings Park is a nice place to run for sure.

Beautiful area! Does it take you through Nissiquogue park and/or sunken meadow? I work on the grounds of old KPPC...I walk Nissiquogue and sm almost every lunch hour! Gorgeous!

I am doing a 15K run in Kings Park on Saturday 3/24. Another new distance for me, I've never done 15K before... I've done longer though so the distance shouldn't be a problem for me. Kings Park is hilly though and I am definitely used to flat so that will be different.
