We like Ayla Ruth (Ruth was my grandmother's name) for a girl. For a long time, we liked Cameron Michael for a boy but are now leaning toward Nolan Michael. (Michael is both of our fathers' names and my husband's middle name).

We've been TTC for over a year now, so we've definitely been thinking about baby names. We're going to be using a lot of family names with our future children.

We have for boys: Beckett James and Tucker Frost

For a girl we know it will be Ella (my grandmother's middle name) and for a middle name it will either be Rose, Reese, or Marie.

Hopefully the new year will bring us good luck!

Here are our names - pretty traditional but in our family, everyone else is naming their baby something unique & traditional names are the only ones not getting fought over so we're in the clear!!

our daughter's name is Olivia Jo [ my husband's name is Joe & I'm not a huge fan of the idea of Joe, Jr so I suggested naming Olivia after him ~ he loved the idea :)]

GIRL:
Natalie Grace
Sophia Kate
Abigail Harper
Evelyn Reese
[Hayley, Quinn & Lily are some other favorites]

BOY:
Henry James
Everett Ross
Lucas Easton
Marshall Owen

I found out awhile ago that BF had names picked out for girls too. Neither of us had definite names for a boy, though I might have one possibly for when we try. He was focused on girls. So, he agreed to a name I adore and then on the second name we combined ideas. Since his first name is two names hyphenated together, he wants one to have a name like that too.

The names we combined were Willow and Aria. He's thinking Aria-Willow, but I was thinking Aria as a middle name so it may end up being Willow-Aria.

Hopefully we'll be at a place to start trying next year some month.

A friend of mine just had a little girl a couple of days ago. They named her Karsyn Taylor.

My DH and I have names that we really like, but I have fallen in love with Averleigh Isabelle. The earliest we plan to start trying will be next fall. We'll see if I still love it then:)

We've too already picked up the names for both a boy and a girl. My DH is not that keen on the middle names, but we have consensus on the first names :).
a girl will be Karina with a middle name Rachel in memory of my grandma Rosalia (first letter only)
and a boy will be Ilia Valentin in memory of my grandma Valentina.
Can't wait to have both of them in my life.
Good luck to everyone!

Mentally I'm ready for a new little one...but I so want to be thinner. My husband and I always talk about baby names and are leaning toward Irish names (we have a Clare and Colleen). If the Lord blesses us with a girl I like Ailish (pronounced A-lish) or Aoife(pronounced eefa) if it's a boy my husband likes Eoin (owen) and I like Killian, Kieron....the middle name will be Joshua. Hopefully this will be sooner than later :-)

Hubby and I don't plan on trying for another baby until June of next year but we have already thought out some baby names in preparation for the son we have now (we didn't know if he was gonna be a boy or a girl so we picked a couple of each just in case).

Our son's name is Gabriel William Zenith. If he had been a girl our first choice for a girl's name was Zaiyaeta Beverly Moon. Our other two choices for names were Ezekiel Jacob (pronounced with the 'J' sounding like a 'Y') Rain and Rowan Lucille Zinnia.

We wanted to chose unique names for our kids and there was a method to choosing each one:
Name #1 - name of our choice
Name #2 - honorary name after someone
Name #3 - hippie name
And there had to be the letter 'Z' in there somewhere because we feel that 'Z' is an underused letter.

I may be expecting already and have been thinking of a few different names but nothing is permanent yet. If we have a girl Rose has to be somewhere in the name to pass on my families tradition. SO for girl names I like:

Juliet Rose

Jordynn Rose

Bella Rose

Marilyn Rose

Emmalie Rose

Nevaeh Rose ( heaven spelled backwards )

I like Ramielle too but rose doesn't really sound right with that one for me.

For boys I already have a Jacob Donald Palozie ( Donald is my fiance's name) But the other boy names I like are:

Tristen Michael or Trystan Michael

Austin

Ethan

Julian

Daniel

Max

I am so indecisive though so it will take a bit to figure out which one will be solid. I really love Juliett Rose and Trystan Michael.

I really want Evander Michael for a boy, called Evan for short. The Michael was my dad's middle name (he passed away last December). My DH is torn on that one.

However, he and I both love Alainna and Jaeda/Jaida/Jayda for girls. Not sure on middle names there :)

I agree with KLMAYS08.
When I was prego with #2, I was CONVINCED it was a boy. I had a great name picked out... I heard lots of negatives about it, but it was a lovely name to me... now, I hear it everywhere & it bugs me that there was so much resistance to that name. I still hope to have a boy so I can name him... if not, I'll have to wind up getting a dog/cat to name, haha.
I didn't have ANY girl names picked out for my daughter at all. I had mentioned once that I MIGHT name her after my great grandma. I had forgotten about that after I had her. I was holding her, when my great-granny called me and told me "Thank you for my little namesake." Oops, haha. So, we had to go with that name, haha. It's a cute name (Ella), but I hear it EVERYWHERE now. Back in 2001, I only knew old ladies with that name.
For future girls, I LOVE Ruby. Hubby isn't crazy about it. I am thinking of possibly Robbie for a girl, now, though... My grandma's name is Bobbie, and my dad's name is Robert. I knew a girl in school named Robbie, and I thought she was the end-all-be-all. Kind of like that Natty Gann girl.
As for boys, I would sort of hope for twins so I could use my fave name I had picked for #2... and name the other one Robert William after my dad & hubby's grandpa.
Anyway, rambling... but, if I am lucky enough to have another (or 2 more), I'll keep names under wraps until AFTER we meet the baby and make sure the name suits him/her.
When my little Ella was born, I just kept looking at her and thinking "This does not look like an Ella to me." But, it made an old lady happy, so it was worth it...haha.

Aubrey :)

Jenilaura...my best friend is having that very problem. She has told her sister ideas about what she has liked and her sister shoots down every one. I keep reminding her that this baby is not her sister's child and she needs to be in love with the name...afterall, its what she'll yell in the yard and what will be said for all to hear when that darling graduates. It can be frustrating. The best thing to do when the time comes, in my opinion, is to not tell anyone the name until the baby is born.

Does anyone feel like, YOU have the best name picked out, but when other people see your list, they pick the things you like the least ;)

Sheesh...what are these weirdos thinking?...(from both parties)

Hi all - Boy's name Oliver Joshua (Oliver after husband's dad and Josh after my nephew who passed away when he was 9 - our baby will never know him personally, but I want our baby to get to know his big brave cousin. Girl's names Oliva J/ Isla or Lilly if we are lucky enough we'll decide when we see her

A good friend of mine just had her 2nd daughter last week. They named her Piper... which I LOVE.

We are 32 1/2 weeks right now.

Boys Names:
Lachlan Michael
Kellen Michael (Michael is for my father).

Girls Names:
Name I want but need to change DH's mind yet
Stella Francesca
Names we agree on
Rowan Francesca
Luna Francesca (Francesca is for my mother).

Our 2 yr olds name is Silas Joseph (Joseph for my grandfather).

I wanted all of our kids to have their own first name, but want a family name for the middle name.

I am really into family names, SO...

For a Girl:

Adia Irene
(Adia:my great great aunt-my namesake's sister :), Irene: my grandmother)
Alice Marlene
(Alice: My great aunt, Marlene: DH's grandmother)

For a boy:
Desmond Hans Lloyd
(Lloyd after my grandfather, Hans after my great grandfather)
Gavin Eugene Lyle
(Eugene after my husband's grandfather, Lyle after my father)

For some reason I am really into 2 middle names for boys lately...

We live in Israel so our names will sound... well... a little different. :) We want Biblical names too, although it's so hard to find good ones for girls!

For a boy: Gid'on, Yoav, Natan
For a girl: Avital, Miriam, Atalya, Achinoam, Elisheva, Tamar, Noa

(More girl names because it's much harder for us to find one we like!)

I was just telling my coworker yesterday how DH and i don't agree on names. Of course I'm the one who wants to be prego now, and he's not, so maybe I just feel the urgency! Some of the girl names I've fallen in love with are Hanna, Emma, Faith and Aubrey..but I think they're too "unique" for him. ;P Oh well! I love seeing everyone's favorite names, though. :)

For my first son, I picked Anakin, and we agreed on Jette for the middle name =)

My step-daughter is Vandari Alexis.

And we have Marius Caige picked if it's a boy and Xaie-Rii [prounounced Zai-Re] Celeste if it's a girl.

Well, we don't have names picked out but we'd like to use the first letters of our own names A & J for for the baby's first and middle names. We thought it would be kind of fun. I don't think I'll be able to pick names until I'm actually pregnant.

Brin is a boy's name, I've never seen it with two ns. You might be more familiar with Brynn which is a girl's name. I sort of like it on either, but wouldn't use it myself.

We really want a biblical name.

Girl-Unsure

For some reason we are really hoping for a boy. My daughter is girl X5.

Some friends of ours have recently had babies or are expecting anytime...the most recent baby was born on Saturday...his name is John Manford-they call him "Ford" and our other friends are naming their son Grayson Charles.

Well if we have a girl it will be Evelyn or Evaleen (not sure on the spelling) Hannah. I love older names and my hubby loves Hannah. Well I was reading baby names and saw Evelyn and it seemed to fit with Hannah. So its not Evelyn Hannah. If we have another boy I like Emmet but he doesnt so not really sure on a boys name yet...

My sister has decided to name her son Brinn. Doesn't that sound a little girly?!

It doesn't even sound like a name that can be both girl or boy like Sam, Avery, etc - It just sounds very feminine to me.

We've already picked out names for our kids:

Girl: Kiley Jean - Kiley as we wanted a K name as there is a heirloom locket with a K engraved on it that has been passed down to women in my family for over 100 years that I currently have and Jean is DH's grandmother's middle name

Boy: Parker Shuman - Shuman is my maiden name and we stumbled upon Parker by accident, we saw a show where the couple named their twins after the towns the parents were born in and we were laughing about how funny that would be if we did that and DH was born in a town named Parkersburg and he said well what about Parker and we both fell in love with the name.

I want unique names for our children...not weird or strange but unique. My name is so common and DH's is now very common about young boys so we wanted something that would stand out a bit but not so much that everyone would think we're crazy
