I love this idea. I don't do warrior as often as I should, in any sense. Thanks for the perspective.

I am just finishing up a Beth Moore study on the Psalms of Ascent. Part of last week's lesson was on our faith community, and the idea the we should have each other's backs - to fight FOR rather than AGAINST each other. I will have to go back to my lesson book to recall the scripture references but warrior poses immediately sprang to mind. They are such great poses of strength and stability, and I love the metaphor of fighting FOR each other (even if just as prayer warriors!). Denominational differences, individual differences, can cause us to tear each other down - but this fighting, this building each other up, strengthens the body of Christ!

Next time I am in a warrior pose I am going to reflect on what it means to fight for my brothers and sisters in Christ. :)

"So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away, see, everything has become new!"

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NRSV)
