TDEE is the common abbreviation for Total Daily Energy Expenditure which is a metric to calculate the amount of calories your body needs to function in a day.

Well, I don't know or really pay attention to anything about control groups, but I do know what has happened to me and my family/friends. I am so over dieting/counting/being obsessive about workouts so it has worked for me (lost another lb since my post :)) Have a nice Sunday guys!

Wish I had a link to the article that I recently read. A 3rd party, double blind study was run where there was a control group, Advocare group, and a 15% below TDEE group.

All 3 groups did the same exercise regimen, only differed in diet. Well, the results showed that the 15% group lost the most weight , lost the highest percentage of body fat , and gained the least amount of weight back after 90 days. All of those values were statistically significant.

What is also interesting, the Advocare group did lose some weight and body fat, but had the least amount of success of all three groups maintaining the weight loss.

Has anyone ever done the Advocare 24-day challenge? - I have and I highly recommend! I lost 7 lbs and it gives lots of energy too. I'm a teacher and I need it :) The avg weight loss is 12 lbs in the 24 days so it's perfect for this time of year. Just a thought :) www.advocare.com/12081944
