Goal - under 58kg

Sat 25/01 - 59.9 - if I can't start losing weight in the next week or two I will have to start calorie counting again. Next week I go back to work and routine, with less socialising and hopefully better ability to eat well so we'll see how I go.

2020 is my good year, I have just decided.

Starting weight 06may19 = 90.4kg (my heaviest ever)
Weight 01Jan20 = 88.0kg
4 week goal = 2kg
Target weight = 86.0kg

Week 1: 06jan20 87.3kg, low carb and still drinking a lot of wine
Week 2: 16jan20 86.9kg, after week-long holiday in Melbourne CBD with heaps of plonk
Week 3 : 20jan20 86.3kg, yep I am still low carb and still drinking and still losing weight
Week 4 : 27jan20 86.3kg after some carb creep, especially on Australia Day.

Missed goal by 300g so let's bring on the next four-week challenge! I do like this.

A week away has not been helpful, despite lots of exercise! A week left of challenge to get back on track...

Not the start I was hoping for but Xmas leftovers were around longer than I planned.
I'm not yet exercising but I have changed my eating habits - with the exception of the salted caramel ice cream last night which was a very rare treat for me.

Hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas. I don't usually do anything for New Years. Same old resolutions to eat healthy and lose some more weight - I'm hoping this will be a little more successful this year as I will jump back into my healthy eating plan I used through 3 months and had success with. Cutting out most sugar, increasing vegetables and limiting pasta and rice - broccoli and cauliflower rice was a surprisingly nice substitute and more vegetables.

Last challenge finished up as follows;

Christmas is fast approaching, I didn't achieve my 1kg a week loss but I am happy with where I am at but most importantly with how I feel. I am very happy with my 9.8 kgs loss since September 2019.
I intend to enjoy Christmas and I will reset after Christmas and focus on losing the next 10 kilos.

Too many work gatherings and drinks and food I'm not supposed to be eating so no surprise in the lack of progress. I'm glad I haven't gained back much and will enjoy the last few gatherings before Christmas and re-set in the new Year.

Week 4 : 88.5kg, extremely not good ... I shall try again and succeed

A small increase this week. Last night's pizza and vodka I'm sure had something to do with my slight gain. But it was only minor so still focused and hoping for another 5 kilo loss by Christmas.

Week 2: 89.6kg, spouse in hospital and I am grossly over-eating take away rubbish
Week 3 : 86.7kg, he is out of hospital and we are celebrating too much
Week 4 : 87.8kg, ha! he needs the weight and I put it back on ...

Last 2 weeks I've been a little up and down. Mostly eating well, but each week I had a sudden jump in weight of at least a kilo which I did manage to lose within that week as well which has been good. The extra weight one week due to that time of month and the next week due to illness and related water retention.

It's been a difficult week, learning new things. I've spent my life eating lean cuts of meat but that does not work on a keto diet. My fats were too low which caused the weight loss to stop for a few days. I added mayo to my salads and ate yummy lamb chops and my body is happy again.

Illness is still lingering. Coughing is annoying and has prevented me from getting out in any cold air. Frustrating but have listened to my body and to a degree I feel better for it.

I start this challenge again!

Starting weight 06may19 = 90.4kg (my heaviest ever)
Weight 08jul19 = 88.7 kg
Weight 05aug19 = 86.4kg
Weight 02sep19 = 85.7kg

4 week goal = 1.5kg
Target weight = 84.2kg

09sep19 - 87.1kg eating, drinking and socializing - what did I expect? sigh
16sep19 - 86.1kg watching carbs and wine seems to work
23aug19 - 85.7kg small loss is encouraging but target might be too far away
30sep19 - 86.6kg birthday and anniversary, huge celebrations - back to the drawing board

Up a little. I've been ill this week so exercise has been way down. Clearly I have still been able to eat. Disappointed with the small gain but it could have been worse. Hopefully I can shake this infection and get back to exercise next week.

I've had a bit of an ordinary week with too many conference days (lots of eating, nearly all of it carbs!) so I'm hoping for a good weekend to get back on track.

Starting weight 06may19 = 90.4kg (my heaviest ever)

Weight 05aug19 = 86.4kg

12aug19 - 85.9kg low carb, around 35g daily
19aug19 - 84.9kg and quite chuffed
26aug19 - 86.7kg, spiralled out with socializing so back to work this week
02sep19 - 85.7kg, improved but no goal reached - I will try again.

No change in weight which is great seeing as I had a very bad eat day yesterday.
Parkrun completed this morning. Although I don't run I walk. Got a PB which was a surprise as I thought I was moving slowly, beat my previous time by over 1 minute.

I think I mucked up my weeks?? Oh well, I adjusted it and am in line with CC. I won't make my goal with time round but I will continue to improve.

That's fantastic news Syl! All your determination and work to be more mobile has no doubt helped you get to the stage you can get home again. I think weight goals aren't as important as mobility goals at the moment and it's always hard to focus on more than one thing at a time so be kind to yourself and only push yourself when you're ready. 29/06/19 - 61.0 (up .3kg but I deliberately had a big eating, no counting day yesterday so I expected a rise. Will be back on track by next week)

I've been off the chat for a while.
I joined a 100 day challenge at work, which we are almost half way through. Very little weight loss but I am moving more than ever and feel the best I have it years.

I'm looking for slow and steady weight loss.
Saturday morning is my weight day

Starting weight 87.5
4 week goal = 2kg
Target weight = 85.5kg

Starting weight 90.4kg 06may19 (my heaviest ever)
Weight 08jul19 = 88.7 kg
4 week goal = 2kg
Target weight = 86.7kg

15jul19 - 88.3kg, not bad for daily morning teas with friends over the past week
22jul19 - 86.9kg and I am excited
29jul19 - 88.1kg after Christmas In July celebrations with eating out at every meal!
05aug19 - 86.4kg Thank you low carb! I can't believe I made my goal, yay.

Bring on the next challenge ... I am ready!

Thank you team for wishes I have been moved again still in Townsville hospital but a different ward now sub acute rehab next step home. Hopefully in. The next 2 weeks keep up the good work. Syl

Hay you are still over a kg down so don't be too hard on yourself. I was weighed on the hospital scales wed & was 83.3kg wow up a lot. I am still here in Townsville hospital rehab but am starting to use a wheel walker around the ward but still have to use a wheelchair outdoors so not have the strength to walk far yet

Keep going girls you rock.
I am still in rehab they seem to think another 2 to 3 weeks yet. Gra has gone home he will be back to take me home when it happens. The hospital have custom fitted a wheelchair for me & I am running havoc on the ward. No before you ask I will WALK out of here. My determination is high.

17jun19 - 88.3kg thanks to low carb
24jun19 - 88.2kg not quite what I was hoping for
01jul19 - 87.8kg so a reasonable drop, considering I am at a CMCA Rally and drinking daily
08jul19 - 88.7kg and unhappy so back to 30g carbs daily, regardless of happy hours etc. Sigh.

Low carb way of eating, sedentary lifestyle, age mid-60s and far too much red wine.
