I reached my first goal of getting my weight back down under 200 and now it's getting into the 180's again. I'm taking it 5 pounds at a time. I'm exercising daily (6 times a week with 1 rest day - or a day where I just stretch/walk). I'm working on cleaning up my nutrition - following the 80/20 rule.

My birthday is in September and I want to feel great as I continue to reach for my health goals (one of which is to stay alcohol free). Day 59 alcohol free today.

Well, I didn't totally achieve all my July goals.
I didn't track ALL my food every day.
I didn't quite get to 5 X a week for cardio (but it was a good target!)
My strength work could have been better.

BUT...
I did do meal planning.
I did bike on days that weren't wet or windy.
I found a new favourite bike destination: riding to a local vegetable stand, buying lots of beautiful fresh veggies, and riding home again (8 k round trip).
And eating those veggies ... I've always included vegetables in my meals, but all this good stuff has taken it to a new level.
Bottom line: 2 lbs lost during July, and able to bike further and faster.

How did others find July?
Looking forward to August goals.

It's certainly been a different year since the pandemic was declared in March. For some it set us back with our health goals (myself included). It was an adjustment to practice social distancing, closing of gyms, and working from home meaning perhaps less movement too.

In June I decided it was time to shake the extra pounds gained since the pandemic began. I picked myself up and have been going strong 21 days now and looking forward to the NEW New Year in July!

Won't you join me? What goals do you have for the month of July?

Mine include the following:
emoticon 10,000 steps a day at least 5 days a week
emoticon exercising 6 our of 7 days per week
emoticon logging my food on SparkPeople 6 out of 7 days per week
emoticon no alcohol - focusing on getting 8 to 10 glasses of water per day
emoticon logging in here daily
