Wow! I am so excited for you! I know that sleep is a huge factor in depression. If I don't sleep well for 2 or more nights, I can really feel it. I can't imagine what you've bee going through for all these years.

And you've inspired me to talk to my husband about this again, who also has sleep issues.

Absolutely marvelous. Thanks for sharing. You've no idea how many of us are hopeful after reading your post. Off to call the sleep study folks to see if I need a CPAP or other treatment.

I am STUNNED - After reading that sleep apnea can contribute to depression, and knowing I was a snorer, I had a home sleep study done.

Found I had moderate sleep apnea. just about 30 'events' an hour (meaning I stopped breathing on average every 2 minutes). So with much trepidation, I got a CPAP machine through my insurance and gave it a try.

I have never felt such an immediate and noticeable change in my life. I wake up before my alarm clock every day now, rested, relaxed, and HAPPY. Real, live HAPPY.

My only complaint now is that I want the last 30 years of my life back.

If you suspect you might have sleep apnea, PLEASE go get a check done!! This has been the most amazing feeling.
