Checking in. Three weeks since the fall and two weeks post op. ugh talk about the worst pain ever. I see the doctor Tuesday. Praying for good news that the damage wasn't that bad and ill be back to good before the years out!!

Thanks all. Surgery is scheduled for Monday. Unfortunately the break was so bad he said most likely my running "career" is over. He will be happy if I don't have a limp. Ugh time will tell. Good luck to all of you in finishing your race!!

Oh!! Sorry you broke your heel.

I had knee surgery two years ago and while I was still waking up, they taught me to use crutches (which was an insane thing to do to someone who isn't completely awake). Once I got home and slept and then woke up, it was pretty easy to get the hang of crutches. So you'll do ok, if you are awake. emoticon

I actually crushed it. I was doing pretty well too for a first time runner. I was on week 5! Not sure how long I will be out but it will be a long long time! I'll keep checking back time to time. I have to now learn to walk on crutches! Lol
