I absolutly love "talk shows" podcasts, all free from itunes. I have two ipods, so when one runs out, i can switch to the other. Motivation to Move, is my favorite, but i also have tech, home improvement, doctor advice, news, comedy, things Mother never told you, science, psysic, sci-fi, much more! 40 hours! until I have to reload!!! I started these 4 years ago before i retired, i worked second shift, in a part of a shop where i could "listen" as no one was around, most of the night! I love, love, love it!!!! Best thing invented since the computer and the internet!!!!! ( I'm 59 !)

I use Suz's podcasts since I like to get caught up in the music and like hip hop beats as opposed to techno.

There are a lot out there, just do a google search and look on itunes too.

Wish I knew how to make my own! But as you get to week 4 and higher, you don't really need them if you are using a treadmill.

I tried Ullrey's - not for me, but I do like Suz's. Gets me to forget what I'm doing! :)

I really like Robert Ullrey's podcasts. I'm not really into techno either, but I found them pleasant because they didn't distract me from enjoying the process of running. I just kept the volume high enough so that I could hear it, and hear the cuing to walk or run. It really helped me to get into the 'zone'. Sometimes I would forget there was even music or a voice I'd be enjoying the run so much. When I first started the couch to 5k program I was using Steve Beatboy (? I think) and it was just too distracting with all the singing and booming beat.

Here's a list of options:

www.c25k.com/

I've used Ullrey's, Podrunner Intervals and the Christian Indie Tracks found on that page, as well as Suz's (which can be found here www.kissmyblackass.org/?page_id=86 ). Ullrey's and Podrunners are quite similar with a techno, no vocals beat. So you won't sing along, but the beat is fast and good. I didn't like the Christian podcast because many of the songs were slower and I need something fast and upbeat to run to. Suz's is a lot of fun because they're fast and mostly popular songs, so it's easy to sing along.

I've not heard of Chubby Jones, so I'm going to have to check those out. :)

I actually liked Ullrey's podcasts. I'm not really into techno either...but the music just kind of made me zone out until I heard his voice.

Chubby Jones! She is wonderful. I thought she was highly motivating and I didn't completely hate her music selection.

Does anyone have any recommendations?
