I'm a little worried about having a trainer that when I asked for my cardio schedule, said just do 10 minutes on the bike on Tuesday. He said he'll probably tell me to do another 10 minutes on Friday. So, he's giving me 1/2 hr of strength training 2x per week and 10 minutes of cardio 2x per week. That just doesn't seem like enough. Maybe he has a plan. I guess I should give him a chance.

So I wanted to post this last night but by the time I got home I went right to bed. I did the colorvibe 5k :) it was my second year doing it and it is always such an amazing feeling completING something like that. I can't wait till I can run one. I will be posting more in my blog either tonight or tomorrow, whenever I get the pictures uploaded.

Hi everyone. I broke down and got glasses recently and I'm trying to wear them each day. I need them for small print and to see words from far away. I look bad in glasses lol! They just don't fit my face right, oh well.

I walked on my treadmill, yaaaaahhh! Good luck on weigh in tomorrow.

what a great day for walking today. wound up walking to next town and back, 12+ miles and boy do my legs hurt. I won't be able to walk tomorrow but it was good knowing that I could. Boy I hurt

Happy Sunday all. Loneliness is sometimes an obstacle in staying focused on your plan. I hope when I weigh in tomorrow that I have a lost for the team or at least stayed the same. It's hard trying to change lifetime habits and find healthier ways to help you through life's moments.

Happy Sunday to you all!

Got out there in the gardens today. Started sprinkling. Still picked the weeds. Started raining. So much for getting the gardens cleaned up. A little sprinkling I don't mind but when the drops get bigger and more frequent....it's time to go in. Here in Washington state we're used to working outside in sprinkles but thats as far as it goes. lol
We did end up going to the dump and getting rid of so much yard waste. It looks alot better in the front yard now. So I got a little exercise in.

Now for some hot soup, laundry and crochet!! emoticon

Hi everyone! I'm really hoping we had the last snow storm of the season on Friday. Happy to report I was able to fill the open positions at my office, so things should *slightly* calm down a little once everyone is up to speed and trained.

I've been a bum this weekend and haven't really done any of my errands - which means my week will be so much fun!

Awe Nora, sweetie, don't think of it as starting over. Just think of it as continuing after a break. I am glad to hear that you are starting to feel better. It really stinks when you are sick and not feeling up to doing much.

Today has been a lazy catch up on sleep kinda day, But I think hubby and I are going to go out to dinner and then do some shopping. hee hee.

Yesterday went well and I'm back on track with my eating. Sleeping in helps. One less snack to deal with. Ha! Between the severe depression over the last couple of months and then this virus, I've lost so much endurance. Just getting up tires me out now. Ugh. It's hard to start over again with my fitness.

3/21 i read about Dr.Birdie...i remember her from the Spark book. I am so happy she ahs still kept the weight off.

3/22...Saprkguy has such a great story.
My favorite was Birdie she was one of us and it gives me hope.

Thanks for the support. I read the practice test and i feel calmer but stressed. I will do what i can and if i dont get into that course i have 2 back ups so i will be ok.

Hope everyone is having a good day. Not much going on here. I did pretty good on lasagna night. Didn't overeat like I usually do.

Nora L- I hope you and the hubs keep feeling better and better with each day.

Tomorrow I'll be out in the backyard pulling the weeds and putting piles of yard waste into the truck to go to the dump with. We have to get things looking good before the appraiser comes over on Tuesday. It's looking good for the re-fi and the appraisal is pretty much one of the last things we have to have done. Still hoping to hear from the naval shipyards on the job for my husband. They were suppose to be calling around the middle of the month so it's not looking so good.

Sorry I have been absent. Both my husband and I have been very sick. We've even had groceries delivered twice. It's not something we do because it's too expensive but the only time we've left the house in the last two weeks was to go to our doctor. It's "just" a virus but she said it's a nasty one that is taking people three to four weeks for people to recover from and I can believe it. It's been a little over two weeks for me and I'm just now starting to get my energy back. I'm still coughing but don't have that "sick" feeling as much. I'd say I'm 75% better.

I need to get back to daily showers. My skin is not happy with me. I've dragged myself into the shower every other day but it simply isn't enough. I've had some breakdown and if it isn't better by Monday, I'll need to hit urgent care.

I'm just glad to have my brain back again. With the illness, my willpower went bye-bye. I'm really surprised at my weight loss this week as I certainly wasn't eating properly. But with Spring, I'm setting myself back on track. A fresh start!

Happy Saturday and happy Spring everyone. I have let myself derail once again. I am letting the stress of work get to me. I told my daughter I'm letting these high school kids have space in my head rent free!! LOL. I think the older you get the less tolerant you are and I'm in a job where extreme tolerance is necessary. It doesn't help when your principal is not a good disciplinarian and she just got a 2 year contract.

Well I am going to clean today and use my treadmill here in a bit and hope the exercise changes my mood.

I am totally freaked out. I just found out i have to write a test to get into college. This terrifies me. I cant study for it. I am reading the sample questions but it still is so scary to me. It is mostly on my grammar and logic but i havent studied grammar in 30 plus years. I booked the test for next week otherwise i will just psych myself out more. Have a great weekend all.

Hi Peeps!
I missed yesterday totally. I'm crocheting this pattern that is difficult in places so I'm totally fascinated with it. I know, crazy huh?

Kim, yes it is so expensive! That's another reason i want to lose the weight to get off of all these meds. I hate taking pills. No insulin for me yet. Trying to hold off. That sucks that your hubby's sugar goes up when he loses!

QOTD! What is your favorite outdoor exercise, game or sport?
I used to love to run. Just feeling the wind in your face always felt so good. With my feet the way they are now though, that won't be happening but maybe I can walk at a fast pace when I lose more weight.

I have a big challenge today. The kids are coming over for a lasagna dinner including the garlic bread. It's one of my favorite meals. I HAVE to keep portion control in my mind at all times so I hope I can get thru this without over doing it. Wish me luck!

emoticon Awesome mini-challenge Dusty! I remember when I started and read about SparkGuy Chris and his 10 min exercise streaking... so inspiring...

emoticon that helped me realize that baby steps & focusing on just the basics when I needed to was helpful and a legitimate instead of the all in, all go, hard & fast crazy low cal/fad crash diets I used to do... a huge change in thinking & approach!

hey everyone just catching trying to catch up on everyone seems like everyone has been awfully busy my life has been a roller coaster this week but i am trying my best to not let it affect me .... missy I am glad to hear you're getting a personal trainer again really excited to hear how it goes they are awfully expensive I have thought about getting one but have never checked out the prices until you mentioned how much your paying and yowza but if it helps it is worth it....Debbie good luck with the new meds yes I definitely have to agree utis are better than cancer ..... regina congrats on being our biggest loser ...... and as for the qotd I love being outside right now walking is my primary activity that I do outside cause it's been all I could do however this past week I played a little basketball and I must say I really enjoyed it even though I sucked terribly at it and it also made me really sore but I finally got over it also played Frisbee again really enjoyed and really sucked thankfully it didn't affect my back as bad but have a lot of catching up to do haven't played either one in a long time

Volleyball I love this game and with my mobility challenges am no longer able to play, I miss playing something fierce.

Walking would be my favorite outside exercise. I use to love bike riding, but I am not yet brave enough to tackle Seattle's hills on wheels. I am originally from Michigan, all flat land/roads, still intimidated by the hills here.

QOTD! What is your favorite outdoor exercise, game or sport?

Sadly, I don't go out much except to get in the car lol, but I hope to change that. This summer is the first that I will have a pool. So, hopefully, I'll be getting some outdoor exercise there. Someday, I would love to be one of those people who jog/run everyday.

I met with the trainer yesterday. He seems like a nice guy and I think is excited by the challenge of working with someone like me. I decided to add another day so we'll be meeting 2x per week for at least the first month. At a cost of $320 something good better come from this lol. I've spent more on sillier things.

Went to the gym tonight and got a nice workout in. Walked a mile on the track, then did some weights. I am so sore now... my legs and back are killing me, just the faults of being over 400 pounds i guess.... time to enjoy laying on my heating pad. Hope you all are well :)

emoticon Good job on the weighin everyone & congrats to everyone who participated & to our top 3!

Ready for week 2? Can't believe it's already Wed! I'm so behind from being sick. Have paperwork stacked all around me as far as the eye can see, LOL... I can not wait to get caught up and feel well & get outside!

I would like to do some outdoor walking! I remember as a kidlet, I adored swimming, badmitton, Frisbee... ... .... maybe someday again... right now, I'm barely up to walking... I so hope to improve that, and would like to do some trail walking/nature hikes... love walking on the beach in the waves and in the cool forest on hot summer days!

Hey everyone.. sorry I have been trying to catch up, been so super busy this past weekend with my trip to Toronto for my daughters hockey game then I came down with a wicked cold Sunday, stayed home from work Monday.. and right now I am fighting to keep my eyes open.. but I am having a good week so far I was up 3 lbs I know it was from the weekend I did not over eat but I did not eat clean, hopefully I will lose that this week..

Heather, I hope that your dad's surgery went smooth. I know it's not fun having to wait by the phone for news.

Missy, how did it go with the personal trainer?

Debbie, I hope the new meds work for you. My hubby is a diabetic and it's not fun. He has 2 different insulin's he has to take along with 3 pills it's extremely expensive even with insurance. But he is weird when he looses weight his sugar seems to get worse.

Good afternoon!
Got back from my doctors appt and she put me on another med for my diabetes which I'm thankful for really. It's been such a battle. It went down a little but not what she was hoping for so, a new med is needed. It's Farziga. She wanted to put me on one that one of the side effects is liver cancer. The odds are low but I don't want to chance it. The new one causes UTIs. Id rather have that than a chance of cancer. Farziga is not a generic so it can cost $336 if I had no insurance. The dr. gave me a medical card that will give me the medication for free for a year as long as walmart and my insurance are good with it. I'll find out Saturday.
I've lost 9 lbs since my last dr visit 3 months ago. I'm hoping within the year I can get off the meds and then I won't have to worry about trying to buy Farziga when the card runs out. Something to strive for.

Thanks for the thoughts for my son. He's doing better every day.

I am busy with farm business this week!!!! Had someone stop by & ask about selling the farm too!!!! Maybe I will get it sold in the next millenium!!!! LOL!!!!

Finally found a personal trainer and he is coming TODAY! I'm excited to see where this leads. I'm a little skeptical that he thinks it's in my best interest to only meet once per week for a half hour resistance training and should only do cardio the rest of the week. I'm not sure about that but let's see what happens.

I am getting there! Last week was such a hard week that I was excited to see I was losing. I was hoping to make it back to the gym this week but unless I go early morning or late at night I am not sure how to make it work and I need my sleep....

My Dad is having knee surgery this morning. I really wish they lived closer. Luckily, he's in good health, so he shouldn't have any problems.
