One of my biggest challenges is the evening meal. By the time dinner rolls around, I'm burned out and don't feel like cooking or prepping anything.

I tried making meals in advance, and often make healthy stews or other meals in the crockpot and then freeze it in batches. But, even those usually require some additional prep or a side dish to make them complete.

My lunches are usually a big healthy salad with a lean protein, so I have decided that I am going to start switching lunch and dinner. I am going to have salad for my evening meal and the "dinner stuff" for lunch.

It worked really well yesterday. I had chicken curry and naan for lunch and a salad with poached chicken breast for dinner. I didn't feel hungry later in the evening and want to snack on something.

I know it's early days, but I will take even ONE DAY of not wanting to chew the woodwork by the time I go to bed.

So much for that...did great until Dinner, when I stress-ate Chinese food.

I have to find some support somewhere for when I feel like I "NEED" to eat.

Today my challenge to myself is to log all my food. I've been great logging my breakfasts every day, but then I slide and don't log lunch or dinner.

TODAY, March 28, 2019, I WILL LOG ALL MY FOOD!!!

I'll report back in when the day is over.

I just can't seem to get myself together to stop the emotional eating. I know what it is doing to me. I know the danger of being this overweight. It is NOT as easy as "just don't do it".

My challenge today is to try to not allow this depression to pull me into bed, where I desperately want to go.

One minute at a time.

Pressing the reset button and today is my NEW DAY ONE.

I will log my food and stay in my calorie range.

I will prepare my food so it is healthy and not full of sodium and chemicals.

HERE WE GO!!

Haven't been logging my food. Trying very hard but definitely not completely on track. Healthy choices for breakfast and lunch, but the evening meal has me craving mass quantities of food.

I have a Dr appt on 4/15 so I need to get my act together and really get on track by 3/15.

On March 7 we had no internet so I couldn't post here, but I had a good, on-track day.

HOWEVER, yesterday, March 8th, was so stressful with so many things breaking, issues with solving problems, and the new neighbors upstairs who I suspect are a herd of buffalo...that I lost my strength and Stress-Ate McDonalds.

But, that's ok. I know why, and I am far from perfect.

Today is a new day.

Day 3 over and 5 more pounds down. I'm not sure what caused it but I had some serious stomach drama yesterday so there was no exercise yesterday other than running back and forth from the bathroom. At least I stayed well-within my calories.

Looking at the bright side.

Day Two also rough - super hard at night wanting to eat from stress. Fought it and stayed in range. Had a lot of pain so I didn't get any extra exercise but I did a lot of housework and that counts.

Lost 4 pounds since Day One - so glad to see the scale going down.

Day one was ROUGH. I did some emotional binge eating but I counted it and managed to stay in my calorie range.

I also did some exercise. A bunch of seated arm exercises. 20 each of about 10 different exercises.

I am very proud of myself.

Wish I had some company!

I am starting today, March 3, 2019 as DAY ONE of what I hope will be a 30-day block of staying within my calories AND doing some sort of exercise (no matter how small) every day.

It has been too long since I did anything healthy for 30 days in a row.

I hope someone will join me here with a challenge of your own, to start and successfully achieve your own goal.
