Three of us worked on putting together quilt backs with the Lutherans yesterday. Got about 8 sewn together. I'm thinking I ought to order a 10 1/2" accuquilt die even though it costs $100 to get a custom one made. The squares have to be 10 1/2" and I am the only one who cuts fabrics. Might be nice to be able to feed the fabrics through instead of cutting them. Carol

I'm quilting a languishing top on Platypus. Down to the border. Yesterday I made the dress for GDD out of a men's shirt which I've been wanting to do. Turned out so cute and saw a video on facebook on how to make them.
I woke this morning hoping it goes over her head. It looks like the neck is wide enough but since she isn't here to try it on, guess I'll wait on making more or insert a zipper next time. Carol

Carol, double check the angle of your needle. You said troubles started right after you changed one. My machine has to have the needle ever-so-sightly counterclockwise, instead of straight-on. My dealer told me to insert another needle or pin onto the eye of the needle in the machine, unscrew the tiniest amount, and use the pin to turn the needle in its holder.

I started another UFO top that isn't too big. Still having shredded thread and breakage but not as much as I did. I changed the needle to go with weight of the thread so that is helping I guess. Its frustrating and I dont recall having this much trouble on Platypus previously. My troubles started when I changed the needle originally. Just cleaned and oiled her. Carol

I was productive in June and aiming to get more done in July. Finished two UFOs, finished the Ripples and REflections top but still need to quilt it. Its far down on the bucket list. Made lots of pillowcases and zip bags. I finished my cross stitch project except backstitching. Not my favorite part for sure. Wonder if I could get anyone else to do it for me? I'm looking forward to July and many finishes. Carol
