Carrie, I find it much easier to be good when I stick to a regular selection of foods. Lately it has been yogurt and nuts for breakfast, salad with tuna for lunch, then meat and vegetables for dinner. However, for some reason today I have been hungry all day. Perhaps it is because it has been cold and damp and I really want some hot chocolate.

I have been doing well having a protein shake for breakfast. I haven't walked outside since last week. We got 14 inches of snow on Friday/Saturday, so I have been using the elliptical.

I definitely am concentrating on more movement each day. Yesterday, I actually took a walk outside for 30 minutes. Usually my "walks" are on the elliptical. It is crazy - we have such a beautiful walking trail down in the small "canyon" behind our house and I hardly walk it. But, I have determined that I will do it at least once a week now and strive to do it after each strength workout on M-W-F.

I was going to walk outside this morning, but my grands came early, so after everyone left and after supper I walked on the elliptical.

Nice, Carrie. Today was my walking day, too. Snuck in some stretches and squats, too.

I think is important for everyone to show gratitude. I also think it helps to reach out and help others, individually or as part of a group.

My battle with depression has long been my biggest challenge. I do think it helps to show gratitude and of course take my meds. Any thoughts?

Please use this thread for health challenge discussion and encouragement. I do hope this isn't too confusing. If it is, we will go back to the old way.
