I signed up (translation: committed myself to training my freakin butt off) today! 1:30 wave. It's a little later than I would have liked, but I'm so excited!

TOWANDA132- I began doing C25K at the end of March so, I'm trying to become a runner :) The Warrior Dash site says basically the only training that would be wise to do is as much running as possible. I'm also going to kick it into high gear with strength training so I have huge guns to pull myself up ropes and over cars. You're right! We totally have enough time to train for this!

GODDESSELLIE07- What did he say? My husband isn't exactly ready to commit to healthy things yet, but I know he'll be there to cheer me on. Probably my parents too. However, I already recruited my best friend and her boyfriend. They are both pretty athletic individuals and, hey, they are willing.

Hey all you St. Louis Sparklers! I discovered an event today that I think would be fun to do as a group. I read an article by Coach Nicole ( www.dailyspark.com/blog.asp?post=i_s
ur
vived_the_warrior_dash
) about her expierience with the Warrior Dash, a viking themed, 3.17 mile long, obstacle course. It sounded like such crazy fun that I checked it out and they hold these events all over the country! There is one in Old Monroe, MO which is just a bit west of O'Fallon, MO. I am so excited, I have to do this and I think the communion with other StL sparklers would be beautiful. Anyone else interested?

Let me know what you think!

P.S. There are a few other close-ish Warrior Dash events like Kansas City on July 30th and Channahon, IL (up north) on June 18th and 19th, but this one is the closest, cheapest, and I like the course the best.
