New Year! Feels like it starts today with a trip to grocery store to stock the pantry with the right foods. I have planned my eating, now I need to eat my plan!

Did recumbent bike and lower body weights at the Y yesterday. I will do yoga and ball dvds today. Flexibility and ab work!

I'm new to this group and notice it's been awhile since anyone posted their challenges here, but this is exactly what I need right now so here are my goals for the next week, Oct 16-22,11:

Water: 64 oz per day
Nutrition: 3 fruits and/or veggies each day
Exercise: 30 minutes of walking or other exercise every day
Motivation: Log in to SparkPeople & Post to my Spark teams - every day!
Rest: 6 hours sleep every night

Mon 10/17 emoticon - at least by the end of the day I should be there!
Tue 10/18 emoticon
Wed 10/19 - today was tough, didn't quite get 6 hrs of sleep last night

1. Get the clients taxes completed that I have before getting new ones next week

2. Exercise at least 10 minutes every day - emoticon

3. No eating after 9:00pm - sometimes!

4. Say something positive to someone everyday - trying hard!

5. Continue on the path to a healthy life style! emoticon

Week 3...my new challenges are:

1. to stay motivated
2. to use house cleaning to stay active
3. to spend at least 1 hour outside daily(weather permitting)
4.to stay at the lower end of my calorie allotment each day
5. to drink 4 cups of water perday or more.


Friday...I've done Ok all week..I think I have left room for improvement though! Need more exercise and a bit less nibbling.

Week Two

1. do some at least 20 mins of cardio at least 5 days a week
2. drink at least 4 cups of water a day

Wed..had trouble not grazing after 8pm..managed but it was close..went over on calories slightly.
Thur...a good day but had trouble with not eating before bedtime again.
Fri...successful day

Sun...protein intake not good today , no water intakeand way over on calories! :(
Mon...good day
Tue... ditto

I'll join in! I haven't been posting in a long while, thus have slipped up and gained some weight and lost some fitness..so here goes :

Happy New year to all of you great ladies.
I have rather been lazy since Xmas holidays and have been going over my calorie limit. This week I am recommitting myself to eating healthy and tracking my food intake and exercise every day.
My goals: to drink 10 glasses of water
Exercise Cardio: 60 min
Strength : 30 min
Stretching: 10 min
Calories: 1500- 1700 daily.

MollyJ : Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada
Time Zone: Atlantic Standard time.

Wow,I was so very sick the whole Thanksgiving season! I'm getting better now and am setting some NEW goals for December!

December Daily Goals:
1) 30 min meal/menu planning, nutrition calculations
2) 30 min nutritional research/reading
3) 10 x 8oz of water
4) 5 Freggies
5) Food Tracking

Well, I kinda fell thru the cracks, so I'm trying it again, this time for this wknd and all of Thanksgiving week! We will see how the scale measures me up on Saturday, the 27th!

My 9 DAY CHALLENGE is Nov 19 - 27:

My last week was iffy..managed to lose 2 pounds so I guess it was not all that bad as a whole so I'll try again for 5 days..Mon-Friday.

I'll join in this week..a 7 day challenge...
Here are mine
Water: at least 4 cups per day (32 ounces)
Nutrition :Fruit and Vegggies - 6 per day
Motivation: Post challenge progress EVERY DAY
Activity: to follow my Sparks fitness plan and add more if possible!!
I'm just starting today..Monday..


March 15th....5pm..things are going well! emoticon
March 16th....5:30..very tired..determined to do a bit more..most goals met though! emoticon
March 17th....it was a tough one at times, but I made it! emoticon
March 18th...off to work... emoticon so close to over eating..some unwise choices today!
March 19th... emoticon
March 20th...worked my butt off(hopefully,lol) outside today! emoticon
March21st....went a bit over on the eating but not bad.. emoticon

You are all doing magnificently! How are you feeling! I love the way I feel when I've met my goals for the day, makes me want to do it again the next day! And if you have to go back to Day 1, well, that's OK! I've had more Day Ones doing this challenge than I can count on both hands and both feet! It's all good, because just TRYING is making progress.
