I once went through a stage of not feeling hungry, I think you'll find that happens the more you exercise.Do be mindful of eating, though because your body can go into starvation mode and cling on to any calories & store it as fat when you do remember to eat. Just make sure you're eating at least 3 meals a day.

I've also found that I haven't been hungry, I was sick and in bed for a whole week not eating much and now that I am back on my feet (almost) and back at work I am not eating nearly as much as I was before I got sick. Also not eating as healthy, which needs to change asap. Hoping that once my cold clears up I will be back to eating 5 small meals a day. I also find that when it gets hotter I don't eat nearly as much, and enjoy salads much more!

I live in the desert in Southern California. The weather has been up and down here. In August we'll get into the low 100s but it hasn't been too bad yet. I've been doing well today. Still under my calorie intake so as long as I have a small dinner, I'll be good. I'm also doing my core workout tonight so that should put me into a good mood.

I'm glad you're going to ask your nutritionist and doctor about it in case there is an underlying problem.

This may sound wacky, but how's the weather where you live? emoticon I've noticed a negative correlation between temperature and appetite for me. The hotter it gets, the less hungry I am.

So I ate last night. I made pasta and put chili on top with some shredded cheese. It was amazing but i regretted it this morning. Bleh. I ate this morning and I've been fine so far. I packed a lite lunch for today so we'll see how that goes.

I really need to get back into buying my fresh fruits and frozen veggies. Thankfully pay day is next week. I have a bunch of Spark recipes that go into the crock pot I want to make and a couple of other things I want to try. I'm also going to go head strong back into my exercising. I really think with everything that's been going on in my life, it screwed with my appetite and my energy level. I have a little less than 2 weeks to reach my monthly goal so I'm going to hit the ground running.

Thank for all the support and advice. I will talk to my nutritionist about this and see if she has any advice and I'll talk to my doctor about it in September.

I used to be like that but we do not lose weight by not eating so it is good to get yourself on a schedule of meals even if it is 5 small meals! We need to eat to lose

One bite, one day, one pound at a time. Remember you are worth the effort!

Um, gluten/grain proteins affect your gut and can make you depressed. Your gut is your second brain ... it's where 90% of your serotonin is made (some is made in the medulla oblongata at the base of your neck, some is even in your eyes). You may think of a million reasons why or why not you're depressed, but not understand that this is familial, and you can't help it because you're still using the drug "gluten."

There was a time I took Prozac, but I didn't feel "me" and went off. I suffered several more years before finally getting diagnosed and seeing the LIGHT. Gluten sensitivity/intolerance is such a big topic, but I thought I should try to explain. If you or anyone is interested, I'd be glad to find a better explanation and share it. Otherwise, please feel free to google! It saved my quality of life.

I hope you're okay. Keep us posted.

I have chronic depression but I've been on the same medication since high school. It's the only one that works that doesn't make me want to eat everything in sight. Other that that and my BC, I refuse to take any medication unless I'm like dying from pain.

I like the idea of bringing snack foods with me. I can't do any grocery shopping until the next pay check but I will check that out. I am going to make myself cook dinner tonight though.

All I can think of is maybe its related to a medicine. Have you started taking any new medications recently or increased the dose of a current medication?

I have been feeling this way lately too. I take a medication that is known to suppress appetite, but I have taken similar medicine in the past and never had a problem, and didn't have a problem with this one until I increased the dose recently. I try to pack only healthy foods to take to work for lunch and snacks so if I do feel like eating, my choices are limited to only good things. And I just try to force myself to eat when I get to my normal snack and lunch times. Forcing myself doesn't always work but I can usually get something down that way. I try to bring foods that I've found to be easier to make myself eat.

Are you depressed? Do you monitor your blood glucose at all? Are you sleeping well?

(Also, just cause of who I am, I have to mention that craving a particular food might be a sign of food intolerance believe it or not! I craved breads and dairy my whole life (after my father), and turned out I was celiac. Not saying you are, cause I know people get turned off at that notion right away. I just suggest looking into it so you understand what it might mean for you. There is a spectrum to gluten sensitivity.)

I don't see my doctor till September but I do see my nutritionist on the 30th so I'll talk to her about it. My mom said it might just be stress. I haven't lost any weight either which probably would have been the only upside to not having an appetite.

I'm actually hungry for lunch today but a the same time, nothing sounds good.

I've noticed I'm not hungry at night the past week or so. As in the only reason I ate dinner last night was because my fiance was hungry and heated me up dinner with his (at 9-930). Usually I get like that when I'm stressed, but I'm not, so I'm just gonna go with it. More freggies with things being in season, so I think i'm just filling up on those through out the day and water.

If it scares you, maybe see the doctor.

I get bouts of that when I exercise. It completely kills my appetite. But it comes back with a few friends the next day, and I eat anything and everything in site.

To prevent this, I have been having to focus on what I'm eating, and when. I need certain foods after a workout, and within 30minutes of finishing my workout to be most effective. High proteins are the most important thing for me after a workout. I often go for a banana, and a big big glass of chocolate silk. Then I also down a bottle of water with electrolytes too.

Hello DONE Girls!

I've been having a problem lately that I need help with. For the past few weeks, I have not had an appetite. The only reason I do eat is because I realize that I haven't eaten all day. Has anyone else had a problem with this?

Another thing that's weird is the only thing I want to eat is soft pretzels. No, I'm not pregnant! I just don't really know how to handle this anymore. Any advice/suggestions/support would be awesome.
