I let my team down, Im so sorry. It sucks to be eliminated, but its OK. The last 3 weeks have been devotes to taking care of two beautiful little girls and we just recently found out that they will be with us for at least a few more months. My husband and I are foster parents and these girls need me so, yes, I have not been as focused in this challenge the last 3 weeks; but that's how foster care works. We went from being a childless married couple of 15 yrs to parents of a 1 yr old and 3 yr old within 2 hours one Thursday afternoon.

Good luck on the rest of the challenge ladies! I know you will all do amazing!!

Good morning team!

I was afraid I would be eliminated with the gain I had. Planks are hard and my arm was shaking at first getting in the minute but I pushed to get it every day.

Squats this week ......I will try to do 100 a day. I used to do them every time I had a potty break.

Let's go team and get in those squats.

Your challenge this week is to get those squats in! The team that completes the most squats by the end of the week will gain immunity from eliminations! Please make sure to look up how to practice proper posture for your squats. Let's give those legs and booties some attention!

Your challenge this week is to master the basic plank! The team that has the most members that get to a full 60 second plank by the end of the week will gain immunity! emoticon

Start with 20 seconds, then 25 seconds, then 35 seconds, and so on. It doesn't matter how you progress but by the end of the week you should be able to hold plank position for a full 60 seconds!

I have to admit that this week got thr best of me, too.

Monday - 0
Tuesday - 0

Friday - 20 minute (10 arm, 10 legs)

Just looked into the strength training videos. They are listed as strength and toning videos. Can we choose from either of those? I have not done any "strength" training. I mostly walk early and/or late in the day (it's hot and I do not have a gym membership).

So - is toning the same thing as strength training? I do have some dumb bells and a stretch band.

So far I've drown myself in 6 cups of water today and a grande dark roast from Starbucks LOL! I started on my second jug of water (32 oz) and am determined to finish it before the end of the work day.

Your dear Peppermint made a mistake when adding up the fitness minutes for week 1. My apologies!

The team that had the MOST activity minutes was the BLUE TEAM!!! They had 2147 minutes which is approx 35.8 hours of exercise. I missed a post for one of the blue team members who did a fantastic job!

Sooooo that being said, I won't go back on giving immunity to the teams I gave it to already, but to make things interesting, reward the BLUE team for such an amazing job, and to make up for my mistake, I'm giving the BLUE team a 5 LB ADVANTAGE next week for the team weigh-in emoticon

Everyone better get their lovely bums in gear because you never know what may happen!!

Yea! We won ;0) and boo we lost ;0(

We won by moving our tushes the most, and by losing a few pounds between all of us.

We lost by not having all of our team members participate with us. It's not too late for you to join us. I have been stalled out in my weight loss for what felt like the longest time to me, but this challenge has been motivating to try again or try harder, I don't know which. It is my hope that each one of us feels welcome and encouraged to join for your own benefit. I love the idea of us doing this together - I don't know why. I have never participated in a challenge before and had no idea I would be an excited participant lol anyway, I hope everyone feels welcome and inspired to get going this next week. We have some trail blazers in our group that leads the way (it's not me lol). It's okay for the rest of us to tag along and do whatever we can individually. We are not competing with each other, mostly with ourselves to try a little harder.

This last week I discovered and tried a few things that were new to me and I found them very helpful - freezing grapes and eating a few when I can't resist a snack, dancing to Zumba which I had never tried before (found out it's a hoot!), and have kept on walking everyday (even when it was blazing hot I went out for at least a little while at the end of the day). What I am saying is find what works for you and put it to the test. Expand your efforts a little more and see if it makes you smile. I was so surprised with these things and they are just little things.

I already have a favorite water cup, it's plastic, light weight, clear, has a lid and a straw, and hold 3 cups of water. I use it every day. I have two of them from one of our local hospitals, and it holds my feet to the fire and helps me drink 8 cups of water every day. I don't know if I can increase my water consumption, but if it's okay to count milk at breakfast, and kool aid from time to time, then I might can get more liquid down. I don't drink anything else. Find what works for you and just count it. You can do this.

Your challenge this week is to drink the most water as a team to gain immunity from eliminations next Sunday emoticon emoticon

Please use a tracker to add up your daily water intake (in glasses/cups) so that I can easily tally it up at the end of the week. Please make sure to weigh in no later than Sunday afternoon on September 2.
