Straight from the tap in 12 ounce glass. Use two small paper cups to keep track of cups with ten pennies. For half cup I put a penny between them till the next full glass is drunk.

I have two Brita water bottles that I use, -- I marked 16oz. on each and I drink four total bottles. I also drink coffee in the am (have to) and tea in the afternoon. I have the Soda Stream drops (can't remember the exact name, but it looks like an airplane liquor bottle) that I use, plus I use True Lemon products as well. In the winter my water is always warmed up, the rest of the time it's room temperature.

We can't drink the tap water up here -- too much arsenic. We do have an arsenic filter, but how do I know if it's working? We have a reverse osmosis system, but I still use the Brita filter as well, just to be safe.

I seldom feel thirsty so I have to plan to drink the 8 glasses of water a day. Today I had 2 glasses of water in my morning smoothie, later 2 cups of coffee, 2 cups of tea in the afternoon, and a jug of water on the table with meals.

I need 4 of my 16 oz cups per day. My cups have a flared base. It's easy to put 3 rubber bands in the indentation above the flare when I fill it up in the morning and remove one each time I refill. Then I won't have to remember if I marked it in my journal. Love that idea!

I use cups that hold 16 ounces and every time I re-fill it, I write the time emoticon in my log. I used to just make a line, but sometimes got confused if I'd remembered to write down the last refill. Using the time helps me not miss any points I've earned.

Last year I spent months out of town with family. I found it easiest to buy 16 oz water bottles and count out 4 per day. Then I wasn't stressed about container measurements or getting water I didn't like the taste of and would have a hard time getting down. When we were out and about, those water bottles went with me easily too. If other family took bottles I'd write my initial on the cap so there was never a question which was mine.

I don't like the taste of my city's water even filtered (I have a faucet filter). So I brew 2 herbal peppermint tea bags in a quart jar of boiling water. When it's cooled I store in the fridge. When my mint flavored water pitcher runs out, I pour that quart of tea in and add another quart of cold water.

Plain water is my favorite beverage since I was a child. I still love it. I fill my water bottles since I drink it at room temp. I fill no less than 72 oz a day and usually drink more with a bottle of spring water at events. Not a problem. I am at Day 1561 of drinking 64 or more oz/day.

Lots of great ideas!

I like my water with lots of ice. I usually get one full glass in the morning with my morning med, drink another on my way to work. While at work, I use a 20 oz water bottle and try to drink one at least one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I drink another bottle on my way home and then some with dinner and my evening pills.

I too have almost completely cut out pop and will usually just drink water with meals.

emoticon I love water but 8-10 cups is a chore for me and it is hard for me to remember how many cups I drink. Thanks for the apps link. Right now I have a water calendar on my fridge and I mark off the amount while I am at the water dispenser. At home I have a simple blue mason jar that has oz. markers on the side and I drink water from that with a straw. If I am at the gym or swimming I freeze bottled water and take it with me. If I'm somewhere else I take a thermal mug filled with cold water. I love coffee first thing in the morning, but now I am forcing myself to drink water with lemons and/or limes before the coffee. Sometimes I drink herbal tea in the evening or herbal ice tea without sugar during the summer. I never drink soda unless I have a cold/flu (which is rare) and then I drink ginger ale.

One thing that makes it easier to get in all my water, is our local Pharmacist recommends taking all pills with an 8 ounce glass of water. Since I take various pills five times each day, that gives me at least 5 to start each day. I get in a lot more when I add in the unsweetened Iced Tea that I drink.

Fortunately, I haven't really had an issue with drinking water. I gave up soda/pop years ago, but had to do it in stages (went from diet soda to flavored seltzer, to non-flavored carbonated water, to just regular water).

Currently, I have a passive water filtration system on my kitchen counter, with an empty glass stein that holds a pint sitting right next to it. (Sometimes the chlorine is so heavy from the faucet you'd think you were drinking swimming pool water, hence the filtration system.) I drink one pint as soon as I get up in the morning and then the other 3 throughout the day.

Maybe the stein makes it more "fun" to drink?

I like my water room temperature because I had a throat operation almost 25 years ago and really cold things make the area hurt. I also make sure my herbal tea has cooled down some before I drink it.

I do love water though so that's good. I fill a 4 cup glass measuring cup with water each morning and then when I drink it, I fill it again and know I've had 8 cups when that's done.

My herbal tea is just extra hydration because I don't count it as my water.

I have a large 26 oz Starbucks cup that has a straw. I fill that up at a designated 4 times a day. I make sure I drink of these cups every three hours. (trying to remember to drink one cup at each hour) I find that drinking water with a straw is much easier for me to get the water down to.

Growing up I wasn't much of a water drinker, but I have been for the last 15 years. I don't even like soda anymore. Besides 100 oz of water, I also drink about 10 of decaf tea and 20-30 oz of coffee in a day. I guess I don't have time for soda anymore anyway. :)

In the cold weather, most of my water is in the form of herbal tea. I have an infuser thingy, where you put slices of fruit in the little basket, then pour the ice water into the container and the fruit flavors the water. I like that in the spring and fall, when I'm not as fixated on warming up with a hot beverage. In the summer, I'm so hot and thirsty that I'm pounding down ice water all day, way WAY more than 8 8-oz cups per day, and I don't bother with the flavor infuser. But I sweat like a racehorse in summer, and I need a lot of water to replenish.

I have a 16 oz water bottle that I drink first thing in the morning. Then I drink another 16 oz bottle after my morning workout. I also get another 8 oz with my tea at breakfast. The rest is spread out throughout the day.

I love my coffee in the morning. This morning I drank 12 ounces of water before allowing myself a sip of coffee. It starts me off on the right foot.

I have always chosen water as my top choice. When I'm thirsty, nothings seems to quench my thirst like water. I drink everything else after. When I was a kid, I would drink water from the hose while playing.

Now, I make sure I drink 2 cups first thing in the morning because I feel so much better and seem to drink more through out the day when I do so.

I also have a fancy quart jar that I use. I keep it beside me while I'm at home. I know once I have drank two of those, I have my 8 cups of water in. Everything else is just extra.

I do like to add mint and lime or mint and berries. They make for good tasting water.

I try to drink mine in a 1.5 cup glass and chug it. Usually add lemon (really helps curb my sweet tooth) and start the day before coffee with one glass. Once I get started, my body craves water. IF I get off track, it gets really hard again, so I try not to get off track.

My first 2-3 cups usually come in the form of coffee. After that I drink it with either citrus or frozen berries.

I have never liked drinking water and most of my life have had to force myself to drink more. It has become easier but it's not yet a habit. Please share your best tip for getting the water in>

I went back to using a perfect 8 oz. glass. It doesn't look like so much so maybe I have trained my brain to think less is more.
