Is it the wedding or the dancing you love? You could consider taking a dancing class?

I have not been getting much exercise, just a few walks with the dog, I am sick right now, flu symptoms.

Hahaha! Weddings every week! At least I would get more than one wearing of my dress but with all that dancing, I might shrink out of it in a month! (One can only hope!)

I danced so much at my son's wedding I can barely walk this morning...and the day before I got in over 12,000 steps. If I can keep up that kind of intensity and distance on a regular basis it would be great!

I had a long tiresome day yesterday with too many appointments and too many emotions. Times are very difficult. I am sorry I didn't post here daily.

I got 345 minutes of exercise since my last post: 95 on sunday and 250 this week.

Omar was fine - just sniffing & meeting new friends. I did have to carry him part of the time! My fault because I don't take him (or my other 2) on walks very often. They have a fenced yard & they can run and play as much as they want.

Today my workout will likely be walking & my 10 flights of stairs. If I feel like it, I'll run a little bit because I received my new running bras in the mail today!

Monday morning Functional Fitness class with Reggie

the class is never the same, and always a great workout

dog walking & stair climbing also this morning, and I took Omar with me on my evening walk

I found him at the park in April 2013. I think this was the first time he's been back to the park since then.

good job getting in a walk at lunch!!!

awesome with the walking & biking!!!

I have 2 places I go for my stair climbing. There is a parking deck in town, just off the square (that's a common thing in the southern US, a town square).

The other is at a school with stairs on the outside of the building.
Daily stair climbing started when I got my new activity tracker. My first one was very basic. When it died, I took advantage of the big Amazon sale day in July and got a Garmin smart watch. It was preset with climbing 10 flights of stairs everyday. After months of trying to find stairs (neither my office nor my home have stairs), I'm all set. I can get my stair climbing in rain or shine (the parking deck stairs can be done in the rain - they are weather protected, but open on 2 sides, so I feel safe)

Thursday morning is spin class at the YMCA for me. Tonight I will get in my stair climbing and maybe a short run.

good job!!!

I did get in my steps yesterday emoticon

today started with Body Pump class, then I did my daily dog walking duties (and we even worked in a few sprints), then climbing my 10 flights of stairs.

Ran some errands with my sister, so it's been an active day. emoticon

today is my 'light' exercise day - and I have an appt after work that will keep me from an evening workout

10 flights of stairs this morning, followed by a 45 min dog walk.

now I just need to make sure I get in the rest of my 'required' steps for the day!

Walked for 30 minutes during lunch break yesterday - and it was hot outside! I was dripping when I got back to the office. We are expecting remnants of rain from Hurricane Florence today so I am planning to go to the gym after work.

Yesterday I took 2 walks: 1 lasted 15 minutes and the other one took 50 minutes.
And I am proud to say I did my strength training again, 20 minutes. I would have liked to do it twice in the past week, but only did 1 series of the exercises. At least I am keeping at it.

So I can pick 8 emoticons today! :)

I understand about the need to build up with exercise slowly!

It's an accomplishment that you went to the gym! And 10 minutes do count!

Yesterday I did 10 minutes of walking on the treadmill at the gym. Doesn't sound like much but I have to be careful about overdoing it as I end up in more pain if I become a "weekend warrior" in the exercise department! I plan to go again today and add on another 1 -2 minutes and perhaps do some weight bearing exercises as well.

September Challenge: post here daily how many minutes of exercise you got. Could be anything: walking, playing tennis but cleaning counts, too. Post a pretty emoticon for every 10 minutes of exercise that you got, as a reward!
