I found a biker person :) been riding for 5 weeks. Took off yesterday and rode 55 miles, never in my life thought i could do something like that. What a great feeling and a great big smile when I rode into the drive way after 6 hours on the Bike emoticon

I did my first Firm workout in months (the tennis playing with hubby is only when he's not out of town, which he is till this weekend). I love doing the Firm cos I know it works so well based on the results I got long ago after I had my son.

so, anyway, I got through it without totally keeling over. *grin*

go me!

p.s. you all look to be doing well, too! Chester23, hope you feel better. emoticon

4 lbs down (and some reduced waist and hip measurements) since last week's weigh-in.

So excited to hit another mini-goal on the ticker...FINALLY.

This news, and the Spring-ish weather, are putting me in a great mood today. Hope all you Sparkies are feeling fine, too.

Well yesterday I was at the UPS Store getting a passport picture taken. The two Indian women behind the counter were looking at me strange and speaking in their native language. I started getting uncomfortable when one of them finally switched to English and say "we think you are so very pretty"

I finally hit the 60 lbs lost mark! I've been hovering around that area for weeks, but today's weigh-in makes it official. My weight loss rate has slowed down, but I've shed 16.5 lbs since the beginning of 2009.

my success today was sticking to my calorie intake and making it to the gym 2 days in a row, when I'd rather have stayed home after getting worked by a trainer yesterday(gym was offering free 1/2 hr.)

probably won't be able to get up tomorrow.

My success today has been accepting compliments without silenting thinking but.......

My daughter's teacher today told me how wonderful I am with Geneva and that she admires everything I do.

My director told me the founder was heard to say that I am their most educated and the one who best undestands my role and how I contribute.

And I just said Thank you. Without thinking to myself but...... followed by negativity and justifications.

For the 2nd time in 1 week I avoided overeating when I really "wanted" to. First, was Mon. when I dropped my husband off at the airport for a month long business trip--I usually overeat on those days even when I have been "doing good"--this probably belongs in emotional eaters :)and then today it was the end of a very successful week, but I spent too much time "being industrious" and let myself get a too hungry, so now I'm finished with my week but hungry, tired, a little lonely and bored so of course I REALLY had the urge to EAT--CHOCOLATE would have been great--but INSTEAD I sat down with my trusty planner and worked out a good use of calories and fixed a nice meal--ate it--was still a little hungry but WAITED and sure enough I was fine. Now it is bed time and I'm feeling quite successful! I typically feel uncomfortable "sharing"--not sure why--but I made myself log back in and found a place to put this comment (thanks for having a "share your daily success" place for me!). I'm working at "applying" all those things that I have known for years and then some new ones I have read here and one of the new ones is that people who "post" and read the posts are more successful--I can believe that so here I am. I just can't get over how helpful this website has been. I started at 175 and found this site at 163 lbs and have lost rather slowly for 5 weeks but feeling very good--the tracker is REALLY very telling. And tracking my workouts is helping. I have lost weight before so my real goal here is to be able to maintain a healthy weight and level of fitness long term. For the first time ever I'm seeing how it is going to work. OK--Good night!

I ate a descent sized lunch so I'm not hungry all day. Chicken salad, (a big one) and an orange. I usually don't eat enough for lunch.

My daily success is that I am staying within my caloric range, even with an extra snack some days! Now, to plan for a solid workout EVERY day. Since relocating and looking for work, eveything has been a bit frazzling. However, I KNOW that I will get the perfect job and I KNOW that the Universe will see to all of my expenses and I KNOW that I will have a great schedule that will fit in effective workouts on a regular basis! Im so excited!
