Hope you can get it at your library. When I get finished posting the Chapter by Chapter I will start from the beginning and copy and paste it to Spark Mail for those that are interested.

I am , too. It is way more fun than decluttering!

I have to be diligent about caring for myself. 100 DAYS OF WEIGHT LOSS is a great way for me to keep focused. Day 1 is July 1, 2017. Build habits to produce success. Most of these habits I have at least tried before but did not sustain. First habit: delay eating by using a timer.

I re-checked out my copy so I could keep putting in some of the good stuff. It helps me, but I should be doing more work on the mess instead of spending time on the computer and reading books. But the reality is that at least I am doing some of all of it!

"The Hoarder in You: How to Live a Happier, Healthier, Uncluttered Life" by Dr. Robin Zasio

I got this from the library. Yes, it has lots of tips. There is so much behind the hoarding--or keeping things too long.

I have gotten rid of tons of stuff in preparation for moving. It is my stuff and my husbands. He can't do the task because he is now handicapped from a stroke. So "great" I get to declutter his stuff, too.

Great Susan and Karen!! Any thoughts would be appreciated. So far I have really enjoyed it. Luckily my library lets us keep things for a month. I have a kindle but only used it once. I still like the heft of a book but am very proud of how many I have let go of just in the last month!

I checked out a print copy of the book from the library until my e-book becomes available to borrow. I haven't looked through it yet, but I, too, have several books I'm trying to read for discussion groups of one sort or another.

I was able to check out an ebook through my library. I only have access to it through June 16, so I hope I finish it by then. (I'm currently reading 2 other books as well.)

I won't guarantee that I'll keep up with the discussion well, but I'll try to post some thoughts about it if anything occurs to me.

Thanks for the suggestion!

I requested it from my library as an e-book. I had to have a hold put on it because all of the copies were out, so it must be a popular book! I'll have to see if I can get a print copy from the library. I saw that they have it on the shelf now. I'm not sure that I want to be seen walking around with it, however. That's why I prefer e-books. The Kindle edition is $9.99. Ouch.

A couple years ago we had a book discussion on the Emotional Eaters team around Linda Spangle's book, "100 Days of Weight Loss". I am going to discuss the book "The Hoarder in You: How to Live a Happier, Healthier, Uncluttered Life" by Dr. Robin Zasio who is the therapist on A&E Network's "Hoarders" program.

I hope some of you will get the book at the library or as an e-reader or buy a copy. It's in 616.852 section of the library (at least it was in my local library).

I'll break it down going through the book from the Intro to the End. I'll copy the parts that spoke to me. If any of you want to add to the discussion, please feel free. There are charts and questions to answer and you can do them in this forum or on your own. I just think it's such a good book. It defines hoarding, clutterers and also those who don't have the problem but live with hoarders or clutterers. I know many of you just read along and don't comment or post so I'll just pretend I'm talking to an audience and make my own personal comments on the sections. Also open to suggestions!
