If you are taking a spinning class, the 500 calories for 45 minutes could be accurate. But, if you are leisurely riding around the neighborhood then, yes, it sounds a bit off.

I have been using the SP tracker for a long time and have continued to use it since I got my Shine. Most of my results are comparable to one another. But, sometimes I have to re-sync because the numbers are not accurately shown on the social page of the app.

Ha that's funny! I have to set it for cycling in the app, sync it, and then press and hold the Flash itself both when starting and ending a workout for it to recognize cycling.

Mine says that I took a 4H 2m bike ride today and burned 40 calories. Actually the calories burned is probably accurate because I was driving not cycling. Not sure how it determined I was on a bike, it was in my pocket emoticon

Has anyone experienced a calories burned estimation that's obviously too high? I have a Flash and it seems to be accurate for number of steps but WAY off for calories burned during intentional exercise. It gave me over 900 calories for a 5.5 mile run/walk and over 500 calories for 45 minutes on a bike. Now I'm getting the red message from SP that I'm burning too many calories, which isn't true and I'm going to ignore.
