I LOVE this idea! I usually ride about 3 days a week, and would get a kick out of 'traveling' some different ground. Thanks for suggesting this!

You may have seen some other teams in which challenges are to run, walk, bike or swim to a virtual location, so why not a virtual trail ride? We could identify historic rides, endurance rides or simply great trails and set our goal as the mileage associated with that ride. Then, as we do our own trail riding we post our mileage and we "virtually" ride the trail we selected. For example, the Chief Joseph ride that follows the trail of Chief Joseph is about 210 miles long and is done in a week. By sharing our own trail miles, we could add them all together to reach the 210 mile goal and set a target of getting there in a month.

Reply to this post if you're interested in participating in a virtual ride. List any trails you want us to ride and a link to that trail if at all possible.

We'll look to start our first virtual trail ride in the next couple of weeks.
