I would just like to add my appreciation for incredibly well-answered prayer. This team is an answer to prayer, as well! I have several praises that one might perceive as prayer concerns. However, my cup truly is half full!

This has been a week, and many months, where a variety of surgical procedures become a reality. I staved off knee surgery for as long as I can and now my June cortisone shot barely lasted ten days. Unfortunately I will need to wait to get the actual total knee replacement and I'll find out how long that wait will be on Oct 31. Most are now getting scheduled in Feb and Mar. Ouch. My brace, cane, and walker are all spiffed up and already tested out.

As for my mouth, I love my six-month teeth cleanings. My dental appointment and full xray went well, but I do have to go back in December for a root canal and crown of a back, near-wisdom tooth (tooth #31). Even without dental insurance, this should be manageable.

Lastly, my first cataract was removed on Wed. That night, the doc called to check on me and relay that it was normal for the first drops to feel gritty. All those in surgery that day got an evening call ... and we all had early next morning follow-ups. My glasses lens is now popped out and my eye is already seeing and feeling better. I get the other eye done Oct 30. Am traveling Nov 4 to see my Florida peeps for about ten days. I so love my girlfriend time! God is so very good!

Special thanks to the many challenges that keep me in check (balanced). I am two weeks in and have met my daily goals for two weeks and gave said good ridden to four pounds in two weeks (217 to 213 lbs). Amen!

Welcome, LADAWNC77! So glad you joined us!

This week has been a mess. Dd had her endoscopy on Tuesday which required being put to sleep since she's a kid. Still waiting for biopsy results but praise God everything visibly looked good to the doctors. So, while I have done pretty well on the carbs I have barely gotten to exercise.

Great to see the four of you join in and your awesome goals! Cheering you on! emoticon

Evelyn, great pic! Glad you were able to see the caverns and travel. Sounds nice.

I have to admit that I forgot about this yesterday. emoticon My dh took off work because he had gone to the youth retreat with my son as a cabin leader/counselor and I had a very busy weekend with my daughter so we were all tired yesterday and I completely forgot until the end of the day. I gained 3 lbs this weekend! emoticon I am on track today, though!

Hi All!

Thanks to SEWINGMAMACDS (Carrie) for suggesting this challenge!

The challenge will begin October 7 and end November 18 (6 weeks).

1.Each participant is to choose a nutrition goal and an exercise/movement goal. YOU CHOOSE! It is all individual.

****We want everyone to SUCCEED with this challenge; even if the scale does not move we are about making healthy habits here!! So, choose goals that are ACHIEVABLE for you! If October is always a super busy month do not choose a time consuming goal.****

2. Each participant is to commit to pray for the other participants and encourage them as the Lord leads.

SO SIMPLE! So doable!

I suggest that you weigh yourself (if you use the scale) AND measure yourself (I know you don't want to). I say this because sometimes the scale does not BUDGE but yet inches are lost. You do not have to post those here. They are just for you and you can share your losses at the end IF you choose.

To sign up please copy and post (fill it out, too): emoticon
