Started work on this last month and have started seeing results already. Last week I started strength training. The week before I started tracking my food intake. I have started losing weight and feel a whole lot better.

oh good. So when I come back from our anniversary trip, I will see if I can find a copy of the book. I assume my sis never found it, because I never heard back about this... emoticon

Personal health is an ongoing project. Each of the 12 chapters discusses one key to building a lifestyle that nurtures a sound spirit, soul and body. Your task is to read each chapter, and if you want to improve in that area, decide how to do it.

The book will explain what the key is, and give 5 practical suggestions for incorporating that change. Each chapter ends with a section called “Taking Action” where you can write down one way – just one – that you will start doing to implement that key. It is better to choose 1 thing, and really commit to sticking with it, than try to make many changes and lose hope after a few weeks.

In this discussion forum, we’re going to review a new chapter/key each month, giving us plenty of time to work on each key before considering the next. You, of course, are free to read/work at your own pace.

Joyce points out that 12 is a sacred number – a symbol of wholeness. By focusing on each one, you ensure balance. Each of the keys has a special focus, but all of them overlap.
Healthy behaviors encourage other healthy behaviors, so you’ll probably find that as you go along, implementing each key in your life, it gets easier and easier, because you're getting so many supports in place.
