1. Having anything in my house with sugar triggers me so l vow not to shop hungry which I hope will get me out of the store without the impulse buys.
2. When I go too long without eating I tend to reach for something sweet. I will eat before I am starving.
3. I have trained myself that every meal should be followed by dessert. I will work on changing my mindset that every meal needs to be followed by something sweet.

emoticon ...and check out SP recipes for simple veggie and fruit recipes that work wonderfully for dessert.

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Mistakes are the portals of discovery.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

I definitely agree. Being a T1D myself I had to learn my limits and allowances, too. The bottom line is: whatever works for you personally.

I do that too but I have diabetes and my d. educator told me that I needed to add protein and change to a complex carb.

I want something sweet after dinner but before bed. Now I'm opting for a 100 calorie pudding cup with some redi whip. It's low calories and still helps me with my sweet tooth. And I'm perfectly content with this amount.

I always want sweets after I eat lunch and dinner. My plan is to wait at least 1 hour before I decide to have any thing and then if I want something I am going to go for a walk or read.
