I decided a couple of days ago to stop smoking. This is day three and I am ready to jump out of my skin. emoticon I really thought day one and two would be worse. Hanging strong and fighting back by trying to keep my hands busy. emoticon

I think I have a touch of the stomach flu this afternoon but I swept and mopped the dining room and living room now that the kids have gone back to college. Some nice chicken soup for supper is in order.

I find myself still wanting to eat on the run. I think today I need to decide what ONE bad habit needs to be tackled HARD. Right now, there just seems to be so many to chose from. emoticon

If I let myself think about how easily they take hold again...it can be depressing. This may be something I need to work on for a long time. Old habits sure die hard.

Well, the first week is behind us. How is it going? Did you set resolutions in place?

I did not do any New Years Resolutions. I just don't anymore. I find that at the end of the night I set up a resolution or goal for the next day and take it from there....one day at a time.

After being gone because of computer issues...I am struggling to get my "game" back up and running.

I am working on my menus at night and trying to come up with some healthier meal plans , still needing to balance for insulin resistance.

Why is it so easy to NOT eat healthy and so easy for bad habits to take hold? I had a few come back and they are really hanging on tight.

I am back to eating standing up or on the go.
I am eating in front of a computer or TV...GAH!
I am not taking the time to set down and just enjoy a well cooked meal.

What am I doing right? I am NOT giving up. I am going to set some mini goals in place and tackle the three bad habits I mentioned. This past week has made me very aware of areas I still need to tackle and improve in.
