Just finished 2 of the challenge videos (yesterdays & todays) and will add a 30-40 min walk here in the snow soon. I did 100+ min yesterday of cardio, so decided to leave the days video till this morning. It's always a good feeling of accomplishment when finishing a task for the challenge. emoticon

I did not think I could make it this week while fighting a cold. However, I have done 30 minutes of cardio for 5 days this week. I have had to make up on the videos so I did 3 of them today and no cardio. I had almost decided to just start again on week 3, but I think I can do this. Now, I am back to resting and fighting this cold. :)

Looking to get motivated to go for a walk--wow it's cold outside! May just do my videos for the day and get to the gym tomorrow for cardio--looking forward to trying intervals on the elliptical. I may try the couch to 5k training app to get into a more systematic approach after this challenge is over. This past week was fine until yesterday, I've been hitting the gym pretty hard and needed a break from all of it. But today I miss it--so video for me.

I'm hoping week 3 begins better than week 2 ended. I did do the video yesterday but couldn't make myself get down on the floor so I used the bed. I was having some serious pain in the lower back with the scoliosis and that makes my knee hurt like crazy. I know it wasnt' as good as working on the floor but I got it done and was definitely feeling the abs. I think I'll add in a band workout or two this week. I really like those.

Kudos Everyone! I've been plugging along...lost 6 pounds since Dec. 30. I didn't try to lose that much, it just dropped off with the extra cardio that I've added both weeks. I'm excited about week 3! Keep going team!

Congrats on your weight loss AMAZABLE! I too start school this week, just online but I am anxious about it. I will not have the time I had before either. So my plans for week three are...do a video EVERYDAY (instead of my catch-up games) and when I go walking with my buddy (weather permitting) I will do an additional 15 mins on elliptical. When I can't go walking I will go ahead and do 45 mins. on elliptical. Today I want to go ahead and do 15 mins. elliptical even though its not scheduled just because! And BOYMAMA13 2# is a success, we have to celebrate it all mama!! My husband always tells me "at least your not gaining" and he is so right!! emoticon

I am getting more fluid at the videos and doing them more than once a day to add to the workout. Making them more of a challenge for me. Love the variety.

I weighed 176 this morning, compared to 220 back in March and 227 at my highest. My goal was 175 by New Year. So I'm a few weeks late. I still lost more than had I not made the goal. My new goal is 165 by March 22nd, or 25th, somewhere around then. I think this one is more attainable.
The first week went well, I tracked my food and exercise. I didn't do any more exercise than usual at the gym, but I actually tracked it that week. I watched a video, but there's no space to do the videos at home, so I don't think that will work out for me. The next week was my first week at Georgia State, so I did a lot of walking, getting lost in the unfamiliar urban environment. I rented a locker at the rec center, but was too busy and then too sick to actually work out. My gym bag is already there whenever I'm ready. Wednesday night I was up all night with coughing, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. So I didn't go to school and then the gym as planned Thursday. The worst part's over, but I'm still coughing a lot. Trying to find a doctor that's open on the holiday weekend. School starts again Tuesday and I hope I'm well enough. That's my priority right now, getting well and doing well in school. Of course when I'm not throwing it up, I'm tracking my food as well, but I'm not spending 4 hours a day 3 days a week at the gym like I was before when I had more time. I hope all the walking I'm doing will help me reach my goal this time. I was a little easier on myself with this one because I have other things to do, so hopefully I'll stay on track now.

Great job, everyone! I've been doing well. Eating in my calorie range, drinking my water and working out 5 days a week. I've lost 2 pounds. I know it's not much, but it's progress in the right direction, so I'm happy.

Keep up the good work, everyone!

doing well on week 3 so far......doing my exercises and I plan on incorporating several of the videos into my weekly routine even after the challenge is over because I really like them and feel they give me one heckuva workout. I am also getting in at least seven-eight freggies daily and sometimes more.......with at least 3 of those being fruit.

So far I'm doing great! I'm on day 16 of an exercise streak. I have a boost to my self esteem, confidence, joy, and energy. The scale is moving in the correct direction again. I will definitely have to get involved in more challenges throughout 2012!

Finished week 2 and lost 3# despite one evening and day that I seemed to put a bunch of junk in my mouth. However, I stuck to my videos and cardio exercises and for the first time in a long time I got in 8-9 glasses of water per day!! Hint: I stayed away from the soda!

Week 3 goals:
1) strength videos 2x per day
3) stay in my calorie range
2) eat 5 servings of freggies per day

My "freggie adverse" DH will be out of town most of this week so I'm looking forward to cooking evening meals loaded with veggies!!

Excited for the new challenge!!

Hurrah to all of you, I am very proud of being in your group. Finished the 2nd week and ready for the 3rd. Usually sundays are my off day, but I am going to do 2-3 strength training videos and one 10 minute cardio just to jump start the 3rd week on a good note. Good luck everybody.
01/15/2012: Did 3 different 10 minutes strength training videos and, one 10 minute cardio video
01/16/2012: Did 45 minutes of lap swimming (30 laps). I am aiming for 1 mile which is 33 laps.
01/17/2012: Sorry no excersize today, but ate healthy and kept track of food.
01/18/2012: 45 minutes swim, combination of lap and water aerobics. and 10 minutes kick boxing cardio.

Since the start of my jurney (about year and half ago), I have lost 40 pounds, which I am very proad of. Now to reach my goal, I need to loose another 80-10 pound.
I swim every other day about a mile and do interval cardio 2-3 days aweek plus 2 days strenght training with a trainer. and I eat a very healty, low fat, high protein, low carb diet. Anything else I should do to achive my goal?

In the battle between Chris and Stress, last week, Stress won. Not this week, though. I am a winner already. I can feel it. My success rests on making lunch the night before and going to bed by 10. My husband is a night person and gets frustrated when I go to bed at a time the is right for me. Too bad hubby. I need to do what is right for me. So, this week, I will NOT let work take over my life and I WILL do the things that I need to do to be my best. I also had to prep for our GS Troops cookie meeting which was last Thursday. That took up too much of my "well being" time. But, I'm not giving up easily. Its time to get ME bak again.

SUN.) Did the 28 Day Boot Camp video this morning for 42 mins. follwed by the 8 min. Athletic Interval video for today.

Well, not actually losing any weight, but my shirts are now too big. I think my breasts got smaller or something. I can now wear a large shirt and not an extra large. My pants are also lose and I would like to buy a new pair but money is tight. Maybe will just save and get new summer clothes.

I can't wait that we are on week 3 already!!! I am under the weather today, so I am going to go for a long walk today, but I won't be amping up my cardio today (but today will be an OFF day technically). I will get Day 1 of videos in if I can, but the congestion is in the chest and I don't want to over do it. I have off tomorrow and hopefully I am feeling better... so I can make the video up if not.

Good Luck to everyone on Week 3!!! emoticon

Not bad. I think my weight is suffering due to the calculation of my elliptical calories. I hope to take the elliptical's read out, SPs read out, and add half the difference to fitness meter.
ex. elliptical 200; SP 100 - so I'll record 150. will that work?

As many years as I have been on spark, I have never done the videos before! I am pretty good at the things I do at the gym.. but these show me I am not really that great of shape and need some more flexibility.

Today I will start again with the cardio.

I am traveling this week so I will do these in the hotel in the evening.

Happy Sunday of week 3!
I have already failed--will update my weight in a few minutes--grrr! emoticon
Yesterday I went to update my gym membership and will be heading back to the pool and trying out a few classes. I think I need to get my butt out of the house to get myself moving !! I love cuddling up on the couch with my pugs and forget about exercise! I think it will help until it warms up a bit for my trail rides. emoticon emoticon
Looking for 50 pounds this year--I know I need to stick to my plan to get it done!

Congrats to everyone who has gotten the first weeks done! I WILL CATCH-UP! emoticon

Wk3 - I am finding that the videos are not working for me. Too many exercises that I can not do with my artificial hip and arthritis (degenerative disc disease) in my back. So I am using my hand weight exercises that my physical therapist gave me, my recumbent exercise bike and water aerobics classes. So I am doing my daily exercise. I wish there were some exercise suggestions for people with back problems.

Exercising daily!

Week 3 day 1 done! My extra video was day one of the new YOU bootcamp, which I did twice. I have so much more energy. I also did 10min on the ellipitical and took the dog for a walk. I work in a dance studio and start back tonight after 4 weeks off, so I might even pop in a dance or 2 tonight to bump my cardio up a bit.

Still no loss on the scales, but I look better in the mirror and my clothes are fitting differently, I think I might try using a smaller set of hand weights to stop bulking up so much

Week 3, day 4 done! Did the video while eggs were cooking. 100 minutes of TKD today; 2 classes back-to-back. 5 servings of fruits and veggies. Printed out my coupon for the 28-day workout DVD by Coach Nicole. Will pick it up in the next few days when I make my monthly Target run.

Keep up the fantastic work, team!

I'm half way week 3 and loving it! I haven't had any loss too but that is because my carbs are too high!

Keep up the good work everyone!

Week 3 - Days 5,6 & 7...I cannot walk on my treadmill as I hurt my ankle the other day so I went ahead & did Day 5 Video 9 min Arm workout, Day 6 10 min Pilates & Day 7 15 min Ab workout. Boy do I feel thoroughly toned! I was able to add more intensity this go around. I also have amped up my cardio by 20 min. Yesterday I walked for 90 min where as before I was walking for 70 min. I probably should not have walked yesterday but my ankle felt fine while I was doing it. It was afterwards that I had the problem! Ready to start Week 4!

first day of week 3 woohoo made it so far. emoticon
today it was the elliptical at gym 42 min instead of 30 and then 9min lower body
and finally a 20 min walk =1.25 miles.
Tomorrow I work all day so just a little walk for 20 mon.

Week 3, Day 4
Love the seated abs workout. 30 minutes on treadmill-program 1 which varies the incline and speed. It is getting easier!!
Extra workout today will be day 4 SP New You workout.
