Great work Amanda! I'm W2 D2 and it was weigh in day for me and I didn't loose an oz! Actually I put on .2lb :(

I'm in the middle of my second week and so far so good! Feeling good, feeling energized! Already noticing a difference between doing each video for the first time last week vs. doing it again this week! That makes me feel like I'm doing something right - something is working! My bonus video I chose was the "New You Bootcamp: 10 minute kickboxing workout". LOVED IT!

As I promised myself earlier this week, I did a second Bonus Video today. Video: 15-Minutes Qi Gong Routine from Matthew Cohen's ''Qi Gong: Fire and Water'' DVD
Since I do practice internal Yan Xin Qigong, this one was a natural for me. I really feel cool down and relax right now. And grateful for every supporting SparkFriends I'm having here :)

Today starts week 2 for me. I have chosen to do two different bonus videos. one being the 6 minute hips and glutes vid and the 2nd is still undecided.

This week will be rough for me because I will be getting my wisdom teeth cut out on Tuesday which will leave me not being able to really do what I want with this challenge for almost half of the week. I plan on doubling up before I go (have to travel for the procedure.)

As for my feeling, I feel AWESOME after my first week :)

I started using Kathy Smith videos this week. The weight loss workout video is one of my favorites because it not only has a complete 30 min cardio (not including the warm up) but also has weight training too. The reason that this works so well for me is the intensity that she maintains through the weight training keeps me at a cardio pace.

I love the Kathy Smith 20-minute Yogalates video! It gives a nice balance to the cardio and strength training that I have been doing. I have not been good about doing the videos everyday, but I have been getting in all of my workouts either using weight machines or attending group fitness classes at the gym.

I haven't been doing the video's, but I do watch them. I am already weight training for an hour three times a week, and doing cardio, 40-75 minutes at least 5 days a week. I feel the videos are too easy, though I have tried to incorporate some of the moves within my workout. I hope this is ok. Last week I was only doing 30-40 minutes of cardio, so I have bumped it up for the sole purpose of dropping weight.

I am doing good this week. I can't get over how many steps I did this weekend. Over 12000 on Sat. and 13000 on Sunday. This doesn't even account for the cardio I did.

I did the 11 minute seated cardio workout as my second bonus video. I had a squeaky chair.My 6 year old son was wondering what the sound was. When he saw me working out, he grabbed his little chair and joined in. We had a lot of fun.

I have put my foot forward and keeping up with my early morning walking and Saturday mornings I am in a group with some ladies we walk 6 miles on the river walk tract. So I am getting my grove back.

I moved into an apartment complex three weeks ago, and I have been working out every weekday since. There is a fitness center here, so I decided if I started as soon as I moved here, I could keep it going. So far so good.

Still keeping on track. My group personal trainer is really pushing us hard this month and we have to get our heart rates up with cardio 7 days a week. I usually exercise 5 days a week and then walk on the weekends. This is more intense than I am used to but I will try and do this.

I am trying to get back into my old routine. I have been extra busy since I returned ffrom my vacation, but I getting back into my flow. I have joined a Saturday walking group with some of my lady friends and it is wonderful. Once I put my mind to something I stick with it, so I know I will make it with the help of the Lord.

i seem to have a constant mild queasy stomach, it also feels like there is a piece of wood in it. i think i have been consuming too much dairy. i will have to back off on that.

I am STILL trying to follow the SP low cholesterol meal plan 80%. i am on week 6 and haven't had much success with that goal.
As far as exercise, the weather has been so unpredictable, i only manage to go to 1 zumba class a week instead of the 2 i have been trying to make consistent. otherwise, i don't get much exercise. i am working on that, but it is hard. i do try to take the stairs at work more often and find ways to walk more.

That's the attitude of one determined lady. I just turned 45 in November and I'm not as fit as I use to be either. Slowly and gradually getting there. Already feel and look 10 years younger than I am. It feels wonderful so yes I can definately relate.

Went out yesterday and did a bit more than what Week One of 5K YOUR WAY calls for, "BUT",
I knocked 5 minutes off last weeks miserable time and NO SHIN SPLINTS TODAY- YES!!!
I am a bit stiff and sore, but all in all feel pretty good and will work on busting some belly bulge today (at 50 the old lady pooch attacked).

Seven or 8 years ago I was in good shape and could do 1/2 marathons in under 2:30, so I KNOW with a little time and a lot of effort, I can be there again. I mean 51 is the new 41, right?
