I so understand. i struggled through the video. I on the other hand did it in front of my BioMoto class who was also doing it along with me. Going to put them through the weekly challenges as well.

So glad I found this team, just what I needed to start the new year. I put in a walking cd and walked for three miles. oh my, tough. My next will be weights or toning, I forgot already.

It could be hard because it is not what you do everyday. I thought I was doing good as I have Spark make the exercise list for me and do those. HaHa. Doing new moves was a challenge. Your body gets used to your daily routine.

Keep it up. If it is too hard, just do the whole challenge over again and see how much better you can do it the second time.

I "officially" started this challenge a few days ago.
I'm taking these few days to get moving again, and start my body working - and I'm already not looking forward to Sunday as my Day 1!
I have found previous cardio videos challenging, at the best of my ability - though I must say, the KickBoxing is one of my "favourites". Maybe that's because I can do the moves (-ish) from when I used to go to Karate practice with DS older. Also, maybe because there's less jumping involved!
Oh well - a good warm up and a proper cool down and stretch afterwards - for all the videos - usually helps to avoid too much after-burn. I hope that still holds true for me from Sunday.

I agree some SP videos are challenging (especially the kickboxing), but the more you make the videos a part of your daily routine, the easier they become.

Good luck on the challenge and the journey!

Well, that's what I do...what I can! I found that some of Gilad's intros are a good place to start for me...not all of his videos, but at least it is getting me some sort of a jumpstart to exercise and cardio. Also, as I have found out in the past, it will get easier and I will be able to do more as time goes on.

I just do the best I can. At my current weight and fitness level, I can't do what a young and fit body can--YET--but I can give it my best effort. I'd love to see a set of video workouts for those of us who have a long way to go to look like that--led by someone who looks like me!

I did the chair core video because I have to be extremely careful about my knees. I am looking for some substitute videos on youtube...that is a personal goal for me for tomorrow. But something is better than nothing! emoticon

I agree! It's a challenge. I've been working out for the past year and this was a challenge! Keep with it and it'll get easier! I notice with the bootcamp videos (I did the Spring Into Shape one in the spring) that even the second time is easer. So hang in there!
WE CAN DO IT!

Cardio videos on spark are always hard. The strength training videos so far this challenge are a bit harder in my opinion than some of the other spark vidoes, but have only done 2 so far. But I think they are doable, and will get easier as we do them each week. Best of luck to you on the January challenge.

I cannot believe how difficult it was for me to do just this 9 min video. I'm new to sparkpeople. at least it was in the privacy of my home. just need to start tracking my food.

So far, did day 1, 2 and 3.. Wish there were cardio video for people that a heavier. Still cannot get my ticker to work..
