Aw, that's rotten. But don't let that person get the better of you! You can do it emoticon
I'm encouraging you to just get up and take a 10 minute walk--or anything, just aim to do a little and maybe it'll turn into more or maybe it won't, but you'll feel better.

I am really glad I signed up for this challenge. I find that I often think I can't exercise during the day in the office, then I'm tired at night and I do cardio if anything. I am finding that I can do this strength training videos in the middle of my workday. Not only am I getting it done, but it actually is perking me up in the middle of the afternoon slump. Today (Day 4) the core video was excellent. I really felt like I was working the targeted muscle groups and I feel like I can go back to bookkeeping a little more alert than I was right after lunch. Thanks Nicole and SparkPeople. Looking forward to seeing what the future days of this challenge hold.

I admit, I've been a bit slack with the videos, but starting today I am going to do it each day. I have, however started tracking calories again - which has been a big eye opener for me. I need to completly change my eating habits!

Day 4-Loved the sitting core workout. Normal abs exercises make me feel sick. I shall be doing that one again later tonight. Also walked the dogs for 60 minutes today in the rain and wind. Loved it though. Bring on day 5!

Today is my last day of my first week, and I did it all! I can't believe it, but I did it. I did strength training (toning) every day and Cardio for 6 days. I can't believe the difference it has made on me. I have more energy now. It's great! I'm so glad that this challenge was started. I await my next e-mail to tell me what next week's challenge is going to be!

Good luck everyone!

Today is Day 2 for me. So far the videos I've tried were AMAZING! They are fun and easy to do and the best part is they are short enough that I can do them on my lunch break. I am trying to get my co-workers to join as well, which will only help with my motivation. I hope to stick with it for the 28 days and many more after. Thanks for the challenge!

Day 3 activity done!

Feels SO good to get back to doing the healthy thing, and make the right choices! I love the ripple effect it has, after I get my exercise done, and plan my eating to fit my limits. I get motivated to keep doing positive things with my day!

Hope you're all feeling good too.

My daily routine is to do my planned strength exercises shortly after eating breakfast then when I do my January Challenge video later and it asks me if I want to add it to my daily exercises or substitute them, I have already done my regular exercises so there is no way I can use the video as an excuse not to do them. That way I get more of a workout. That's one more excuse out the door!!!!

Day 3 for me as well. Still pumped. It is working for me to do my cardio in the morning (exercise class at rec center or walk or walk/jog) and then try to do the video before the kids get home from school (and try to hog the computer!). I also try to take a less brisk walk around or after supper, preferably with my friend, just to stretch out the kinks in my muscles. emoticon

Day 3 of the challenge. I went to have a cup of tea with my friend and walked there and back. It took about 30 min in total but I wanted to burn some more calories. I decided to clean 25 min and tracked that. It was very useful in every way... :p

Then I did the workout video of the day. I used two 500 ml soda bottles as weights. They were a bit light but I think I have to start slowly. I couldn't do normal (or modified...) push-ups, so I did them on all fours.

I started this yesterday. Monday we were in the car on the way home from a long Christmas break visiting with family. I started this because well Christmas was not exactly kind to my hips and I really need to get my but in gear. I walked 5 miles today and did the video. My goal for this this challenge is to get back in to losing mode and give me a jump start towards my over all goal of 150.

Today is Jan 4. I will be starting with Day 1 of the challenge, and try to double up for a few days until I'm caught up. I hope that's okay. I'm interested in the prize drawings, but I'm not sure if I qualify because I started after Jan 1, or if there's anything I have to do to register.

Happy to be here!

TRACIE0523 - Use the SP workout generator and print the results out. I have done that many times for my gym time.

Week 1, Day 2 - Did the video and second workout from the Body Groove Delicious Dance. I thought I would be more sore. If the video is the same next week, I'll probably do it twice. Good effort.

Wed is my off day, but I completed this challenge, 30 min on the bike and the video.

The video was easy but it's a good mid-day stretch/workout for the office during a break. I like the use of the chair. Different and nice.

Good morning Day 4!
Ate and tracked my healthy breakfast.
Took my vitamins.
Filled my water cup.
Did Day 4 video -The timing was perfect for this workout video. I walked 3 miles yesterday and my hips were very sore last night but my real soreness by last night was in my upper abs (lower part of my rib cage)...it was so sore and then I had some sort of strange muscle cramp in my right muscle just below my ribcage...ouch. That went away after a few minutes. I slept well and woke up with no pain in my hips at all...must have walked it out!! :-) My abs however were still sore. SO..I did the video today and it actually felt more like I was stretching out those muscles than it did working out hard...so it's just what I needed for those sore muscles! Now I am off to do 30 minutes on the treadmill.

Oh...and I was down 2 lbs this morning! I am almost excited...I always tell people I can breathe and gain 2 lbs though...so I am encouraged that the scale at least is going in the right direction but will be really excited to see a few more come off so I am gonna keep at this...it's working!!!!! :-)

I just finished Day 4 Video. It is amazing that you can actually feel the burn in your abs when you are working out in a chair. I will do this video again tonight after I do 30 minutes on the treadmill. I am also going to workout with my trainer. Even though I am a little sore from using muscles that I have not used in years I have more energy and fell content.

I have been doing 30 minutes on the eliptical we have in our basement. My husband bought it for himself a year ago, used it one week, and then it became a hanger for the laundry. So I dusted it off and decided to tackle it. I like that it makes me sweat without being out of breath.

Sore from my first spin class of the year yesterday but still got up early and did the videos. Had a granola bar for breakfast and switched my routine of Dr. Pepper for my bottle of water. Lost 27pounds last year and hoping to lose another 30 this year. Hopefully this challenge will help me get there. Bikini body here I come. emoticon

Day one for me technically. Did a video yesterday, but I am starting today as my start. I go to the gym every work day...now to tell myself it is time to step it up and workout EVERY day even at home and no excuses...10-30 minutes is NOTHING when it comes to hitting a goal!

Going to the gym for a year, lost (you might not believe this one) a whole 4lbs....BUT at my 6month mark I had lost 2.5% body fat...my compel fitness coach was super excited about that...and I did lose inches too...and I keep getting compliments...so I must LOOK different!

So time to use this as a 'step it up a notch' for me!

SPARK ON!
