I'm weighing in on Fridays, using my 5-button, digital, family scale to do 5 weeks worth so I'll have each week's weight and then a bit more than a month's loss too, when I get back on the same number 5 weeks later. I'm starting at 67.4.

I am right back where I started from I will Continue my program, because deep down I feel that I have lost fat and gained muscle inspite of not loosing a lot of inches. Before my new mindset I would have given up. emoticon

Considering how hard it is to lose even an ounce....it certainly is not that hard to find them and gain them back!! Up 2 ounces from last week and 2 lbs from that lovely # 160 that I saw for a brief second. Recently moved and that week long break from sparkpeople (no internet access) has totally derailed everything :-(. Having a major struggle trying to get back to my healthy habits.

Goals:

175 - 5lbs lost!! Reward; something from Amazon wishlist (DONE 8/23/12)
170 - 10lbs lost!! Reward; pedicure (DONE 11/1/12)
160 - 20lbs lost!! Reward; mani/pedi (DONE 3/29/13)

Inching ever closer. Having to shop at Good Will and Salvation Army to get clothes that will temporarily fit. It's good to go down a pant size every month. No complaints here at all! I had to clean all the fat clothes out of my closet and drawers. That's a great feeling. It was just 2 years ago I donated all my slim clothes, stating that I'll never get back into those again. Ha, wish I had them back now. A good friend of mine gave me all his fat clothes last year after he lost 70 pounds. Good to know I didn't wear them long. I'm giving all my fat clothes away now, and there's no way I'm going to let myself get back into that size.

Gave in to curiosity and weighed yesterday morning, I was down to 205. However, I am noticing now that I am really feeling hungry alot, and weekend temptations are so very difficult. I was asked by my husband to make him peanut butter and banana sandwich yesterday, and also the two little ones wanted the same. I obliged, but the smell of the freshly opened peanut butter jar was so enticing...I stayed strong and instead grabbed a 10 calorie Jello for myself instead, but man, that was hard!

Good on you. Small goals are the best. When you reach it then you can reassess it and find out where to go from there. I am now a size 10 which I think is a 36" waist. I have no idea. I would like to try a size 8 but don't think realistically I could wear them comfortably, so am happy with where I am. I too have a lot of tummy area that I just can't seem to shift no matter how much I try. Will just have to live with it and be happy how far I have come.

After 2 weeks of no loss I finally woke up this morning lighter. I have also finally reached my original goal of getting into a 36" waist pant and it's actually a bit loose!
emoticon

A few weeks ago I changed my goal to a 34" waist since I was losing size so quickly. I still have a fair bit of fat left in my mid section so I don't think I'll have any trouble getting down to a 34. I wouldn't complain about getting down to a 32" waist but not really reaching for that goal. 34" will be just fine.

You're definitely not alone. I've been struggling too. I had a week there I gained then 2 weeks later I dropped 2. It all works out. Remember muscle weighs more than fat and a coach told me when you start to work out your muscles hold onto water for a while. (This I did not know.) I measure myself monthly and the inches are melting away. Even though I've only lost 9 pounds.

Falling is inevitable. Your strength is getting up and persavering in spite of failure.

Hi there....I have hit plateau's before on weight watchers....Just keep doing what you are doing and in time it will subside....I have a friend who lost 80 lbs via gastric bypass (a bit extreme if you ask me) but whatever floats your boat....The doctor told her that even with gastric bypass you body goes in cycles...one week you drop inches, the next you drop lbs then inches again, then lbs...perhaps there is something to this emoticon
