I bought candles! I keep forgetting about my reward system. But I've lost 5 pounds since I started back on Spark People so I bought myself two little candles that smell like coconut cream pie and a yoga mat to reward myself. Now I need to continue onto my next 5 pounds.

I have changed my reward system.

Instead of if I reach most of my goals I get $5 toward something, I have made it where each goal can award $1 each. Previously I had 5 goals, but this month I have added a 6th goal.

And, if I have not been successful with a goal, I will get $0.50 for when I progress in the goal. This way I get a small reward for progressing which should help keep me motivated.

I have to update my rewards.

If I follow my training schedule for 5 days straight: put $5 towards tailor to get one of my favourite dresses hemmed.
If I eat within my calorie range for 5 days: put $2 towards something nice (flower bouquet, candle, earrings etc.)
If I drink 6 cups of water a day for 3 days straight: put $2 towards something beauty related (like make up, manicure, Elemis Musclease Active Body Oil and Elemis Instant Refreshing Gel etc).

Hopefully this pushes me to accomplish them more.

This took a while to think up or is taking me a while to think up. In the past I haven't been good at rewarding myself so the system sort of fails cause I don't follow through with good stuff. I'm not good at giving myself things (unless it's books and well I'm going to get myself books whenever I want them not when I earn them) but I shall try to reward myself this time. It's easy to think of big rewards for big things but little ones were harder to come up with.

If I follow my training schedule for 7 days straight: put $5 towards tailor to get one of my favourite dresses hemmed.
If I eat within my calorie range for 3 days straight: put $2 towards a flower bouquet
If I drink 8 cups of water a day for 3 days straight: put $2 towards something beauty related (like make up, manicure, Elemis Musclease Active Body Oil and Elemis Instant Refreshing Gel etc).

I play wow, and I collect various things in the game (like these things calls mounts, pets and toys). There are 2 pets that are only obtainable from buying a plush (stuffed animal).

I am thinking of putting $5 towards a pet each week that I am successful in my goals.

I could also put money towards my wow subscription or towards another game. But those are things I normally do not hold out on for buying.

I also like music, and thinking maybe $5 towards a cd might be another good option.

What do y'all think?

For every 20 days of exercise I complete, I will reward myself with a piece of work out clothing. It helps me to feel great!

I want to reward myself with a small gift for every 2 kgs lost, and I am currently thinking about maybe a (very) small thing with every kg to keep me motivated... However, as a college student money are sparse, so I need to think of some things that are free. However, for other rewards I have a list to refer to:
- Clothes/workout clothes/equipment
- Books/cd's/dvd's
- Experiences with friends:cinema, concerts, theatre tickets etc.
- Jewellery, make-up, hair/skin products, nail polish
I really like to buy myself things that will help with my weight loss, so especially training clothes/gadgets, new clothes in smaller sizes and books about training etc :)
Best of luck!
Mia

I have to be consistently rewarded and motivated to keep my momentum, so my rewards focus on smaller goals to keep me working toward the big goal.

My husband will be surprising me with a gift of his choosing for every 3 pounds I lose. I'm a collector, so he'll be adding to my many collections. And each month I stick with it, I'll get a new piece of fitness wear to keep myself wanting to exercise, even if it's just so I can look hot in my new sports bra. Ha ha!

The question to ask isn't: "Can I do it?"
The true question is: "Will I do it?"

What is your biggest fitness goal, and how will you reward yourself when you reach it?

I personally want to reward myself with a new hairstyle and wardrobe. ;)

What about smaller fitness goals? Do you have rewards for those?
