Whew! Day 4 is done! I did my cardio first this afternoon, doing W1D2 of C25K. Then directly after that I did todays video. Boy do I feel it! I still feel a little bit of the previous day's workout, although that may be due to the fantastic hiking up a huge hill I did yesterday.

I haven't taken a day off cardio yet, so I think tomorrow is going to be my day off so my body can recuperate.

I wish SP had a way to save your favorite SP workout videos. A couple of the videos we've done have been fabulous and I would love to queue them in some manner.

Finished Day 3! I'm off to do my cardio in a bit, but the video is done.

I'm glad this one was only 6 minutes! Those lunges were a killer. I love these videos because it gives me so many ideas to incorporate into my own workouts. Once this challenge is done I'm definitely adding lunges to my workouts!

Finished Day two! I stepped up this past month as actually got a personal trainer to work with me so I know I'm doing things correctly as well as I needed to be pushed and have accountability. So I worked out with him this morning for an hour, then when I got home from work tonight I went for a jog with my fuzzy child =), then remembered I had to do the video and got that done just a bit ago.

Day 2 was harder than what I expected. I am glad it was hard. Maybe by week 3 or 4 I will be wanting to try to do it twice on one day.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

Day Two is done! It was a lot harder for me than Day One, especially the bending backwards while holding yourself straight. I tried to go as far as I could backwards, but I couldn't go very far before my thighs and hips started twinging. It wasn't even my core that was hurting, it was the other muscles I was using to try to help my weak core. To prevent injuring myself I didn't go very far backwards at all. This is definitely a video to save and practice after this bootcamp is over; my core strength is horrible.

I finally took some "before" pictures and posted them on my SP, now I just need to post my "before" measurements.

I also started SP C25K today, and it went well. The true test is going to be if I can get to week two. In the original C25K I kept repeating week one over and over because I was never ready for week two. Then I would get discouraged and quit. I'm hoping to avoid that this time.

I finished Day 1 today, and it went by so quickly! I was a little nervous about the kickboxing - I'm rehabbing a torn quadriceps and illiopsoas, but I did it! I did the entire thing, with no pain or issues! I did have a little coordination issue with the step back step jab cross hook kick, but that's more me being clumsy than anything. Next time I'll do better.

This video was so short! I knew it was 10 minutes, but by the time I warmed up the time just flew by. I guess I'm used to the 40 minutes fitness tape, although I know there is no way I could do the Day 1 video for 40 minutes! I wonder how much effect 10 minutes a day can really have on my body, but I'll still give it a try.

The workout did provide a nice segue into my normal stretching routine. I was nice and warmed up and ready to stretch those muscles.

For my cardio I did a two hour hike (even though some of it was spent taking photos) up and down some decently sized hills. Tomorrow I'm thinking of starting SP's C25K. I'd really like to be able to run a 5k.
