My Easter weekend fall of the wagon somehow stretched into 2 full weeks of so so many bad choices, but that's officially over now. No more lazy vacation days, I am back at work and back to working out. This challenge seems like an excellent way to get my butt in gear.

Day 1, here we go.

I have been out of town so I am starting the challenge today, May 3rd. I am planning to lift weights for about an hour today and do 20 minutes of intervals. I am excited for the challenge and will try my best to get the 500 spark points by the end of the month emoticon

I did the butt workout. Think it's video 4. It was a workout. Glad i did it though. It was a challenge towards the end to keep my leg up there but it will get easier as time goes on. :)

I just finished Day 2 video, now I am off to exerciseTV.com to do a cardio video. I like the strength training video for day 2... it was challenging but do-able. I really appreciated that it wasn't just a bunch of different versions of crunches. I hate crunches! I felt like I really got the workout in all of my abdominal muscles with no strain on my neck. Thank you for doing these. I hesitated to join this team, but now I am getting really excited about it.

I seem to have a problem controlling things and getting motivated so my goal for the month is to lose 10 pounds. I would like to surpass that, but i figure maybe if i set the goal low.....i will be motivated by results!

After losing over 50 pounds almost 4 years ago by using SparkPeople, I am back in order to get back to basics and get healthier. I hope to lose inches, tone up, and lose 4 pounds over the month, and the Spring Into Shape Bootcamp is hopefully going to launch me firmly into the "I feel great about wearing a swimsuit" camp, just in time for pool party season!

So far week 1 is great, I love the daily videos!

As luck would have it I came down with a nasty bug last Thursday that's still hanging on strong. I haven't been to the gym or anything else since then. Today I did go into work and got a 1.5 mile walk in this morning; will walk more later today and try to do my chest/back workout at the gym. Looking at the video a little later. Hopefully this bug will take a hike very soon!!

Started the challenge late so I will do a little catching up. My regular walking routine and exercise fit in with this challenge perfectly.

I've been sloppy on logging things in. Thurs I'll do some online catching up.

I love the Abs video on today! Due to some long term physical injuries, I do need to adjust a few moves in most exercises. This routine is perfect as the adjustments are fairly minor.

Best wishes to everyone!!

I can do it, you can do it, we can do it!

My week is NOT going as I can not find the email to do the exercise because I now get 20000 emails per day in my email. Yes I am disgruntled right now. I joined to get a kick start to what I need to do and all I see in my in-box is so and so joined the team. I am happy for them, I wish them all the success in the world, but I would like to be able to celebrate my own success as well.

Wow, these exercises are challenging! I did Day 5 last nite and my abs are definitely sore. I hope I get better at doing these as time goes by. I have alot of difficulty doing the "hip lift" and side plank. Can't seem to hold myself up. Any ideas for substitutions so I can work the same muscles?

Lst night before I did my Day 2 video workout, I was doing some regular strength training exercises, and it occurred to me that it was a little short on core exercises.

Good thing, too, because that crunchless video really got my muscles burning!

So far, Day 1 Kickboxing was fun, Day 2 Pilates Crunch - was not for me, Oh my aching tailbone!

For my cardio, I attend 1 hr Zumba classes Monday to Friday night at a dance studio. I leave Saturday and Sundays as my days off.

I'm on day 3. I'm doing walking and slow jogging for the aerobic part. I thought the 10 minute videos would be a piece of cake, but now I realize how out of shape I am. I'm modifying all the videos so far so that I can do them, and I know that's ok. I hope to get stronger and better as time goes on. I really need this boot camp. Thanks for offering it to us!

Today I started doing cardio work with my adult grandson. He comes to use our buildings weights and equipment exercise room. I will join him at least 3x's a week. It makes me feel motivated and happy to be spending time with him. He also has advised me on using the seated elliptical machine and weight machine. I look forward to sharing that time with him.

I'm frustrated! I was all ready when I went to bed Saturday night to get up on Sunday and get started with this challenge, but I woke up with a bad cold. I've had a low-grade fever all day today. Tomorrow I have a lighter work schedule, so, hopefully, I'll feel better and can get started.

Regardless, I'll double up on activities initially to make up for lost time. I can do this!

Well, my intentions were to start yesterday, but I just didn't get it done yesterday. So today I did both the day 1 and day 2 videos so that I'm caught up. I also did 45 minutes water aerobics.

Whew, the day 2 video was really hard for me, but I hung in there and did most of it. I can still feel it in my abs right now. I'm motivated now and ready for day 3.

Did Day 2 ... tried to go through it twice but halfway through the second round my computer did a reboot... all well at least I got through once, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be either. I also did 30 min of free step on the wii for cardio along with a bunch of other random exercises that also cover another challenge I am doing.

Looking forward to day 3!!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
