Since last year, I discovered San FRan rebounder. She gives good instructions as she rebounds with you.

I Pledge to forgive myself for the past & keep going no matter how many times I fall. I have the strength and self discipline from the Grace of God & I will give my challenges to the Lord. I WILL HAVE A FRESH START EVERY DAY!!

Dave Hall, who invented Cellercise rebounder, has a bunch of youtube videos for rebounding. This guy is really good. Has a lot of nice tips, info, and advice. It would be worth checking out. If you have hd tv and you tube on it, you could probably put your rebounder in front of the tv and click on the youtube and play his videos.

Hi Patti!

Goodness, that's got to be disappointing on your DVDs...

I just did a quick online search to see whether I could find others who may have reviewed the dvds and any mention of stalling--but I couldn't find anything.

If no one else responds, perhaps contact the company and see what they suggest?

Let us know how it works out!

~ Susy ~
P.S. The Amazon reviews that I was able to find were for individual copies of the dvds. No one ever mentioned stalling in their reviews there.

For anyone who has all the Urban Rebounding DVD's - including the 14 metabolic workouts, I have a question for you. Do your DVD's stall? I'm trying to figure out if my DVD's are faulty or is it my DVD player? Mine stall while I'm jumping doing an exercise and I have to keep going until it kicks in again and continues! Let me know if yours give you problems. Thanks!

Hi DIDS70! Just wondering how you're doing with those compilations! I'll bet you have some favorites by now.

Like you mentioned, I have gotten used to seeing at least two versions of a workout... and personally, that's great! A person can always choose between two levels and/or go back and forth to whichever fits their abilities.

Keep bouncing!

I have all the compilations and haven't gotten through all of them. I bought my urban rebounder direct from the company and it came with 14 additional dvd's. When they say "listen to me first" they are not kidding. Being the adult i am, I jumped into the first workout and was literally shocked that there was not a person doing a dummy down version. Listened to the first dvd and was told these are advanced only.
Well now i have the compilations and even though i am sure they are not easy, at least they have dummy down movements until i can do the more advanced moves.

I also do my surge training on the rebounder. i will run in place, "jump rope", jump lunges, squats, etc. It feels better since the impact is so much less. For these it is me, my rebounder, and my timer.

you are welcome :) Rebound instructors are hard to come by so you never know..a lot of gyms still don't offer it..Our gym was the first gym to bring it to SC years ago...and the only ones that had it for a very long time, even now there are only 3 gyms I know of in the upstate that offer it..it is such an awesome tool...you could definitely create a niche class if you became certified!

On the cancer is curable one, I actually posted that one as well...for some reason though the link didn't activate properly :( but yes, regardless of the title it would be a great workout, it has some good combo's in it. (oh and I agree on the accent on the first one...though I prefer the Aussie accent, :) )

Here's one I noticed on the sidebar after watching the previous one I just commented on - this one is called "Cancer is curable now with a rebound air and exercise! "... some might want to debate that statement, but regardless, it's still a 38 minute workout!!

OH THIS IS Hilarious!! Some gal named Alexis talking about her Bellicon morning rebounding - has some good points, I guess she lets the YouTube rattle with 15-20 minutes of programming. It has a VERY fast tempo (no way I could go that fast!!)

(oh she said she condensed 16 minutes of video into basically 10 minutes...).

Hmmm methinks I will start a YouTube Rebounding Channel....

ahhhh that first one, with the British accent!!

so cool!!

"single...single....double!!" ":Pick it up" etc.

I loved the woman's pants too.

I want YouTube on the newer Roku devices so I can see them larger and have the sound up. I have earphones on in order to understand them while on the PC but the cord doesn't go that far...

Thanks for the links!!

Thank you, Melody, for reviving this thread! It's a FABULOUS topic and it helps so many of us: new team members and ol' timers! LOL

I know you'll be so excited to get your rebounder!

And... I'd like to say that you made me look at the YouTube clips in a new way:
As a rebounding teacher!

You said that you taught rebounding classes, so while I was watching the clips, instead of just viewing it through a class participants eyes, I started viewing it as a rebounding INSTRUCTOR! (Not that I have those plans, but... guess you never know!) LOL

youtu.be/XaZu4-1RZas ( only 10 minutes but a good workout, you can repeat it)

youtu.be/v7Y1OX9W1nw (another short one and it is clips of a class but gives great ideas and moves)

http://youtu.be/YgeSuV3JczY (full class, not high energy but the moves are good-the title of it will throw you but it is still a full class and doable)

Hope these help, once you get on youtube and go to any of these, tons will show up as suggestions, some may only show a snippet but you may see some great moves in those snippets. I can't find the ones I used as a basis to build some classes on, but I will look again later today :)

May be a little late on this topic, but I have found some great rebounding ideas and actual full length classes on youtube, alot of them may just be snipits, but could give you an idea or 2 on a new combination you haven't thought of, or a move you haven't seen. taking the basic moves and adding different arms makes it a whole new move in the rebounding world. Adding directional changes, etc, (which I am sure you all already know)...
The search can be rebounding, or mini trampoline gives you a lot of options as well.
Bounce on folks!

I've mostly been doing it to music with a combination of health bounce, jogging, jumping jacks and working in some moves from my water aerobics class....the floating's a bit hard though! emoticon

Yee haw girls, "Floppalong Cassidy" bouncing along on the 'bounder....

NOoooo seriously... I have tried rebounding in my 'jamas, and "the girls" weren't too appreciative of being swung around like those clack-clack pendulum toys of yester-year (or at least when I was a little girl and they are "vintage" now!!

( see http://retrodundee.blogspot.com/2008/08/60
s-clackers.html if you've wondering if I've gone completely senile... or http://www.timewarptoys.com/clackers.htm etc.)

Sometimes if I'm not in a high energy mood, I might just do the health bounce, where feet don't leave the mat, and the girls can handle that okay...

heh.

Urban Rebounder Compilation #2:

Box and Bound - LOVE IT!
I do have to confess that it's a bit too strenuous for me at this time, but that's better than being too easy! I just do what I can do and make my best effort to do what they're doing. Talk about feeling BREATHLESS!

That's the only segment that I keep going to---so to be fair, I can't rate/review the others on that dvd. If/when I get around to doing any of them, I'll be sure to come back and rate them. I really do like reading everyone else's reviews!!!

Hey Susy - what do you think of the Urban Rebounder Compilation #2 workouts? Now that I have my rebounder I am anxious to get some workouts!

Does anyone have any non-rebounder workouts that they do on their rebounder that they recommend?

Well.... this thread seems to be the appropriate one for talking about rebounding DVDs, etc.

Here's my news: I ordered one last night from Amazon. It's the Urban Rebounder Compilation #2. What captured my attention the most is the segment on Box and Bounce. For some reason, cardio boxing sounds like the "bees knees" to me, and I'm wanting myself to start doing that. (Notice I said "start!") LOL

Anyway, once it gets here and once I try it out, I'll come back and share my thoughts on it.

HINT! HINT!
It would be SUPER-GREAT to get this thread filled with others opinions on any rebounding DVDs they own and use. (Or don't use, if they own it and don't like it. That's still important information to share, I'd think.)

Hi Suzy -

I was just noticing a dead tree edition of the catalog earlier this morning and their comment was to see the others on their website:

http://www.collagevideo.com/Rebounder

Some of these are too advanced for me right now and mention that they require dumbbells - but a) I have plenty of resistance right now with my own body weight, b) I already have dumbbells, not to mention that just ordinary 16 oz cans of food work just as well. Guess I could get a bottle of raw milk to shake up and make my own butter while I rebound. ha.

It hasn't come yet! it hasn't come yet!!

I'm thinking I'll just rebound doing the "health jump" or whatever they talked about 25 years ago when I was married to the ex and using a rebounder then. All I had access to was a cassette and I *might* accidentally be able to find it if I shove enough of the clutter out of the way. Might have to fight a spiderweb over it too, but oh well. So the other thing I thought was that I might make up a little playlist on my phone - "You can't touch this" (MCHammar) and "Baby Got Back (SirMixALot) and oh maybe some of my favorite 70's disco - Pointer Sisters is always fun on a rebounder...

Then for a reward I'll probably find one of the dvd's on my favorite exercise video catalog http://www.collagevideo.com/searchresults.
aspx?type=all&search=rebounder - they have a weekly sale and a monthly newsletter and occasionally have really good sale prices...

sooo guess that's my thought for the day.

Need to hit the hay... tomorrow's gonna be another hot day and my rebounder has not yet arrived!!
