I was doing bookkeeping from home the last two days, I did my usual 30 mins of Pt yoga like stretches. But didn't really track any other exercise, steps or miles.

emoticon I got in 100 mins of exercise today, since I got the day off. I did my usual 30 mins of PT/yoga like stretching. I got in my 10 K plus steps. I got in over 3.5 miles today.

emoticon I got in 150 mins of exercise today, since I got the day off. I did my usual 30 mins of PT/yoga like stretching, then 50 mins of sweeping up dog hair and dirt and other house work, and then 70 mins of walking too, so I got in my 10 K plus steps.

Don't know if I could ever get that many steps a day . Bad hips and back. I do much as I can tho. Very good for you . Keep it up!

Did you resolve to get healthy in 2018/19? Sure you have. We all have or we wouldn't be here....yet again, still.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have that promise finally fulfilled and ensure that we never have to do this all over again?
By working together we can help each other meet those life-enhancing goals.

If we resolve to do anything this year let's resolve to achieve our goals. In sharing our journey we can make this the year every one of us overcome troubling food habits and transforming our health.

Starting today those that choose to participate will opt in and post their exercise; what they did and for what length of time. Then once a week from there on in

This year each of us myself included, who are seriously dead set with the dedicated commitment to turning their lives around 360 degrees, making those life-changing choices in lifestyle, health and diet and finally wanting, needing to reach that ultimate goal...those are the people that will be here.

If like me your best exercise is walking...and aiming for those 10,000 steps a day...

Aim for a brisk walk of 30 to 90 minutes most days of the week for weight loss. You can walk more on some days and less on others, but the total time for the week should be at least 150 minutes (2.5 hours).

You should walk fast enough that you are in the moderate-intensity exercise zone at 60 to 70 percent of your maximum heart rate. You should be breathing harder than usual and can speak in full sentences, but you couldn't sing. You can use your heart rate and exercise zone reading from a fitness band, app, or heart rate monitor to ensure you are exercising at a moderate intensity.

While you can break up your walking time into periods of 10 minutes or longer, you get an added benefit of burning fat when you walk at a brisk pace for longer than 30 minutes at a time after warming up.

If you're new to walking, get started with shorter periods of walking and steadily build up your walking time. You might want to take walks every other day at first.

Try not to skip more than one day in a row. Consistency is good for burning calories and improving your metabolism, as well as for building new habits.

On your non-walking days, try strength training exercises. If you find yourself worn out, take a day off. But be sure to get back walking the following day.

If you've hit your weight loss goal and are working on maintaining your weight, the CDC recommends you should spend 60 to 90 minutes most days of the week in moderate-intensity physical activity while not eating more calories than you expend all day.

You can exercise every day if you alternate upper body one day lower body the next. That way it gives each of them a day of rest in between.

So glad you kicked it out! Sounds like you accomplished something you really wanted to get done. Have safe travels and success .


I may cut back on the minutes of exercise each day and see if I can get more days in.
Maybe over doing on some days (body hurts)

Yesterday I worked until noon and went home with a fever and chills Nothing major but enough to feel under the weather.
I bundled up into two sweaters socks and slippers and crawled under the blankets to sweat it out. Woke up feeling as right as rain.

So, I went into work feeling more like myself this morning only to be sent home LOL I was feeling fine except I was freezing! Boss took one look at me and said "Just go home already. We don't want what you have." So, alright that's the way you want to play it I'll use it to my advantage. So I went home and finished putting away the backyard for the winter and finished up the cat shelters. So, exercise Yes!
Then I checked into work from home today. Using the drop box I looked at the pages, making sure all the ads were in and information correct. And Done! So for the rest of the day now I can kick back and relax.
I could use the rest. It's been Go, go, go, go, non-stop go and tomorrow I'll be right back into it again with travelling around the region with this year's magazine promotion. 2 more weeks of it.

oh my what a miss understanding! When I go out of down I don't over do it , I under do it! Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. Hope you're better now.
My body hurts today from 2 miles with Leslie DVD. It is so different exercising since the cancer and crushed bone on the spine. I thank LORD I can even exercise and stand the pain after. I can't just sit or not get something to rev up the heart . I know the exercise is helping . I think I needed a break from it when I went to the city, my body was really hurting. The time off helped lower the pain but you know at our age we have to move.
Bible study today, after I am hoping to hit the basement for some moving!

I know all about over doing I pay for it too. But I gett'er done.
But this weekend even though I got everything done I set out to do it caught up with me. I woke up with fever and chills. I fought through it enough to go into work until noon. After that, I came home and crashed. Sweating it out under the blankets.
The weather hasn't been cooperative for walking.

Today I finish up with folding a last load of clothes in the dryer and scrubbing down the bathroom; walls, ceiling and fixtures, plus decluttering the linen closet and drawers. I've had my bone broth/hemp coffee, so I'd best get to it.

Up at my usual time
Put in 15 minutes on the step climber, did 30 biceps and 45 tricep with my wonder arms. Walked to and from work morning and noon. Just completed 30 more minutes on the step climber.

Today my exercises were my yards. I cleaned out all the flower beds, raked the lawns put up the finishing touches of the lattice. That was just the backyard.


Did the same in the front yards Still need to hang the lattice for the climbing roses when they get here. But that I will do labour day weekend I'll have pictures then.

8th- 72 min. Cardio, weights, floor exercise.
9th- 11.93 miles recumbent bike
10th- 6,190 steps so far hope to get 10,000 included in my steps 1mi Leslie, weights
11th and 12th weekend did some cleaning about 3 hrs Saturday
Mon 13th yet to come. went fishing 7000 steps with 2 miles of Leslie in those steps.
weights 24 rep bicep 24 triceps floor exercise also total of 1 hr.
Tue 14th 1 mi
Wed 15th 1 mile treadmill 1 mile Leslie weights floor exercise total 55 minutes
Thurs 16 th 1 mil Leslie warm up and cool down 1 mile of walking. up and down steps laundry

30 minutes on step climber, 30 biceps and 45 triceps, and 30 armbands. Walking to work.

Keep it up!

Me in the meantime I went over did my recumbent for 30 minutes Later I plan on getting on my step climber for another half.

6th - 50 minutes exercise . Warm up, cool down, cardio, few weights.

And it begins.
Up at 4:30. That extra half hour gives me my half hour on the step climber.

So, yes, I did my 30 minutes on step climber, 30 biceps and 45 triceps, and 30 armbands.

I did!
It's something new to me but i'm getting in a half hour at least.

I've walked to work and home and lunch and now to the recumbent bike again this evening.
Normally I walk back to work after lunch and then home again but it's just to hot! It's 108F here today and the haze from the forest fires are choking!
