Aloha! Welcome to Week 5 of the Aloha, Spring Challenge, 2017

The purpose of this challenge continues to be developing healthier eating, exercising and lifestyle habits. If there are changes that can be made to the challenge to better support this, please let me know.

emoticon During the first 4 weeks we explored the islands of the state of Hawaii, cruised to Tahiti (French Poynesia) where we had fun exploring the islands. We’ve earned almost 13,000 miles in 4 weeks! Wow team! WTG! We are currently in New Zealand, and will be exploring NZ and then moving on to Australia.

emoticon Reminder: This thread is only for tracking our points/miles. Please ask questions, chat, give/ask for support on the other Aloha Challenge threads.

The exercise goal continues to remain constant throughout the challenge. The additional lifestyle goals during week 5 will focus on eating healthily, and sharing recipes with team members. We’ll be tracking intake again, and posting a healthy recipe to the separate recipe thread.

During week 5, April 17 – April 23, we will add the miles up in the following ways:

~~ Every minute of exercise = 1 mile (i.e. 30 minutes= 30 miles) Maximum of 120 per day.
~~ Tracking your food & beverage intake = 10 miles (all or nothing) Tracking can be done in a variety of ways, i.e. on Spark People, another program, written diary, etc.
~~ Posting a healthy recipe = 10 miles (all or nothing) maximum 10 points, no extra points for additional recipes. Although they are welcome.
