It can be so hard to deal wit haters, especially when dealing with kids. We always want to support the children, but they also see people like this and it hurts. As hard as it is, we can't keep people from treating the community like this. It is so hard, but it may be in some ways good for your child to know what may be coming. All you can do sometimes is love them ans let them know they are cared for and not everyone is going to be like that. Hugs for you all.

Life ain't fair, and in fact, often sucks. At least your kid can count on your love. That is a lot more than most trans kids get. I doubt if confronting the neighbor will ease the sense of rejection. Education is the answer, but I don't know how to educate an insensitive neighbor.

An old friend has been kind of avoiding my kid. She moved about an hour away but still comes near our house frequently. So my kid finally finds out today that its because her mom considers him a bad influence....because he is trans. He is kind, gets good grades, holds down a job, is polite and kind and loving to all ...but ...he's a bad influence because he can't wait to take testosterone and have breast removal done.

Well sigh, we leave for pride friday and get to be in the parade....hoping that helps cheer him up.
