5/6 251.8 - STARTING WEIGHT

5/13 251.3 - (0.5) lbs - getting better!
5/20 247.1 - (4.2) lbs - NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT! WOOT!!! I finally figured it out....DON'T EAT CR@P!! LOL
5/27 246.5 - (0.6) lbs
6/3 245.2 - (1.3) lbs - still losing! This is new for me....must have gotten the eating thing right for once!
6/10 245.2 - SAME (turns out I lost 1/2 lb...my Wii Fit board needed batteries! Adding it to next week)
6/17 243.6 - (1.6) lbs
7/8 251.3 - +7.7 lbs....OOPSIES! I will say that there was yummy cruise food and my feet have been swollen the whole time...they look like shoe boxes! They finally are normal today.
7/15 249.1 - (2.2) lbs....wish it was more, but I'll take what I can get!
7/29 248.2 - (0.9) lbs...will take it, but need to get myself back on track more!
8/5 246.7 - (1.5) lbs...wish the cruise weight would come off quicker, but it's going!

starting weight 297 in journey
started spark in May at 275
weighed in today 257

as long as I stay on 150gm or below in carbs and 75gm or more in protein a day I am good- does not matter my calories or fat for my body this is the only thing that works for me. As soon as I don't watch my carbs the scale jumps right back up:)

I drink 10 cups of water
this week I ran my first 5k =38.21 minutes
also ran my first 10k = 79.27 minutes

trying to take at least 10000 steps a day or 5 miles walking or jogging but 3 days in a row walked or ran 10 miles in one day which is over 21000 steps.

I am tired today so might just take it a little easy today. I got to listen to my body.

Lost a total of 6# in June --- best 'losing' in a long time!

So Friday was up a pound which disappeared by yesterday go figure ....

July weigh ins:

July 1: 228

July 8: 229 (+ 1 pound water weight?)

July 15: 230 .....it can't be because I've been crunching writing assignments instead of abs now can it???

My activities for this weekend??? Finish packing, clean (dust/vacuum/mop) and go up and down my stairs lots of times doing these activities! Oh, and walking at the stores (Kohl's & Target) for last minute errands.

I've seen a BIG trend this last few weeks. I knew weekends were my weak spot before but the last couple of weeks it has really hit home that if it weren't for being "BAD" on the weekends I'd be making more progress in my weight loss. TWO days out of SEVEN is holding me back.

SO - - I challenge everyone this weekend to STAY in cals range. and Get at least 40 minutes of exercise over the weekend. You can do them all one day or spread it out.

Memorial weekend was kinda bad for me. I didn't exercise as much as I do during the week and then DH wanted homemade chocolate chip cookies. So not only did I eat a few cookies I had some of the cookie dough too! Can't ever seem to make those without getting it all over my fingers. So I'm a little worried about this weeks weigh-in.

My Anniversary weekend I didn't do too bad but didn't manage to maintain like I was hoping to....

Well I went to the Dr yesterday for my check up and I was up 1.5# but as I told him, I have to be totally honest. I had gone up 7# and have lost 6# of it now. (Got caught up in the Easter Bunny thing).This now puts me 2# over where I had previously been (at the 60# lost mark). I am back and on track and rededicated to my goals! emoticon

May 13th= 256.5 (-2) Am happy with that because I had a weekend away and I ate more than normal except I stuck to no whites, sweets or soda.

I have a big picnic, birthday party to go to tomorrow. Really going to try and stay in line. I know these people are going to have tons of food and not much of it will be healthy. emoticon

Sat I splurged @ the grocery & had a fresh salad bar... always love having so many ingredients available (compared to my few @ home ;)

and Sun, at the family bbq, they did wonderful bbq veggy medley... bbq season has started! yum! I need to get some bell peppers so dh can bbq the stuff for fresh salsa..... yum!!!

Marly -- Absolutely you can weigh in on Saturdays. On this thread - weigh-ins are for whenever you want. Then we have the weekend challenges to get us through.


How did everyone do with the Freggie challenge this weekend? All this talk about fruit is making me want to get some for my lunch today. emoticon emoticon emoticon day 1, again, sw 312 (argh, not happy)

emoticon logging & weighing food, again... except Mother's day bbq... will be eating what's served and will be trying to eat 1 plate instead of 6+ ~ then back to regular eating and living Sun night, the very next meal/snack. Fortunately won't be having any leftovers.

well -- is is great --- I've forgotten my weight last night.

I'll have to post it later.

Weekend plans:

I MUST do better on the weekends. Although I did pretty well last weekend and had a loss this week of 1.75 (just can't remember the number.....

This weekend -- I want to record all my food. I'll be away from home so it will be more difficult -- I've done it before so it's not impossible. It's just I'll be around my mommy! and that seems to be harder for me.

I'm going to go to the store and take things that I know I can have. I'm only eating dinner tomorrow night with her and breakfast on Sunday. I'll take my egg beaters, yogurt and my bread that I eat.

Then we have lunch/dinner with Randy2's parents. On Sunday they eat a combined lunch dinner in the afternoon. Then I'll have a healthy snack at home that evening -- fruits, cereal and skim milk.

Great ideas! My SW last Friday was 250.2 lbs....I'll update again on this Friday!

I'll be gone over the weekend up at my Grandparent's cabin - it's been sold since my Gma's death (it was then inherited by my mom and her brother), so we're moving everything out. Needless to say, our meals will be eaten out - can't really plan them - I'm just going to have to make healthy choices....or as best as I can!

Good luck with the Friday weigh-ins, everyone!!! I have changed mine to mondays as it has been helping me stay on track over the weekends, I need more accountability and it makes me think twice or thrice, about my choices!!!

One challenge that I am doing is to have 3 or 4 different colors of veggies at each meal (helps me get in my daily quota as well as helps keep me full on fewer calories)...

Some of my combinations have been: 1) eggplant, asparagus, onions and tomatoes, 2) red, green, yellow and orange bell peppers - this is awesome when doing an egg scramble, stir-fry or fajitas; and 3) cauliflower, broccoli, carrots...

I haven't weighed myself in weeks and I'm 100% positive it's gone up. I'll weigh myself on Friday morning then post my goal for the month. Until then, I will focus on getting my life back in order to be ready to kick things off with the weigh-in.

I have too look up my last weigh in -- mine is Thursday nights.

Weekends have been less structured lately.

I HAVE to do better. This week was at a retreat and had taken extra things to help me out -- but I still slipped and slid along -- not terrible but not good.

I am a Friday weigher. So I will be checking in here!

I plan my meals for the entire week and usually allow myself some extra calories on Saturday or Sunday. But still within my range when possible.

Plan your weekend meals in advance so that you don't slip on Saturday and Sunday. Make sure to add a treat each day in your cal allowance

Do you weigh in on Friday and then undo all your weight loss over the weekend? Then this thread is for you!

We will be recording our weekly Friday weigh-ins on this thread. In addition to that, each weekend, those members wishing to take part in a weekend challenge will come up with a weekend challenge to help us stay on track.

The first official weigh-in will be this Friday (6th). If you want to be one of the weekend warriors, post suggestions for a weekend challenge we can do next weekend.
