I start wk 3 this morning. I exercised at 6am, adding 15 minutes to my usual 30 minute run. I used the weights, and made a promise to myself not to skip them at all this week.

Hi!
Adjusting my exercise levels again this week, and also had physical therapy for my hand added to the mix-- ouch. LOL

Is there a thread for the fasting numbers for this week? I didn't see one in the threads list...

Tracking my food daily. I make menus for dinner two weeks in advance so everyday I know what I am going to eat. I track in the morning so I know how many calories I have to play with for the day. It works out well. Also helps with grocery shopping. I only buy what I need. Also walked another 45 minutes today. I was walking 41 minutes a day, and recently added the extra 4 minutes. That makes 1.65 miles. It's hard work, but I'm trying.

After a long, forced lapse in the middle of doing the challenge, I decided to start all over. Tomorrow will be the beginning of week 3 for me (again!). Here's to keeping my nose to the grind.

I got really sick and couldn't do anything. I am just starting to get better. I have not been able to eat or track. Forcing myself to drink so I don't get dehydrated. Doc talking about putting me in the hospital. I will just write this week off and start Week 3 again on Sunday. Not giving up, just not able to do it this week. Was really pleased with how things were going. See you all again next week, hopefully.

Just started week 3. FBS 86. Following the exercises is difficult for me due to mobility issues. instead I am walking on my treadmill. today I did 45 minutes for a little over 1.6 miles, that's over 6 laps around the track. It sure gets my heart pumping and boy do I sweat!!! It's easy to get in my water after I walk!!!

fbs 102 at 8am. had a pretty good week, so far. exercise every day this week. probably won't get much next week. i plan to take my dvd's with me on our trip to Little Rock next week. i'll also take my computer with me, so i can log in to SP and try to track my food. i will see how it goes.

FBS still up @ 159. Had a rough couple of days with 2 1/2 day training where eating options were not the best for diabetics. It is sooooo easy to just go with the flow and eat what is there. So back into the groove but I can see where it messed my sugars up. Oh well, letting that go now and moving forward again.

Still have been fitting in walks and some QiGong but need to get to the gym today.

W3D6 - Completed the final strength training for week three, did the cardio, tracked, drank the water.

Tomorrow is my last day in week three. It has been a pretty good week, not overly stressful and doable, thank God.

FBS - 126 - down - and, blood pressure was down too.

Yesterday 3/4 mile walk with dog, some time on eliptical, then about 45 minutes of strength work at the gym, 15 minutes Qigong. We'll see how today goes! :-)

Starting week 3. Week 2 was pretty good. I took insulin once, because my bedtime blood sugar was high, but then my fasting was too low the next morning. I'm not sure what I need to do about that. But anyway, I look forward to this week. emoticon

W3D7 FBS 111 This week was a miserable failure for me. Next week should be better we are having a few days off because things are slow. Yeah!!! Maybe I can get into a routine. Tomorrow is my weigh day also can't imagine that will be good.

W3D2 - I did not get my FBS but Post-Breakfast was 155. I don't have a clue if that is good or bad, but am assuming it is not good. Will keep on, no matter and try to get it down.

I walked today, strength training is tomorrow, so none for today ... Drank the fluids and tracked.

Hope y'all had a great day and kept cool ... it is hot as hades here!

Seem to have lost a day somewhere this week - so this is week 3 day 7. I started off with great hopes for this week - I've upped my cardio workout and toning workouts and my clothes seem to be getting tighter instead of looser. Weigh in day for me is tomorrow so I think I'll be joining Boot Camp Challenge after all. One good thing from this week is that I've got a friend at work signed up for SparkPeople and we're having our own little challenge (re contest) to lost a pound a week for the next 12 weeks. Game on!

Week 3 Day 5 - got my walk in and 15 minutes of yoga but that was all as this evening the whole family went out to watch the last Harry Potter movie. We were all very good - since we had just eaten dinner at home we didn't buy anything to snack with while watching the film. emoticon

W3D3 did my walk and strength training already. My FBS this morning was 129. Do not understand, because I been tracking my food and staying within my recommended carbs and cal. I will just keep on trucking. Doing my exercises and eating better. That's it for today. Everyone in the Midwest stay cool.

W3 D5 FBS 111 The week is flying. I need to get back after it. It is so easy to get off track and so hard to get back on. I am canning garden stuff every night. It is still so hot out, too hot to walk during the day at work. My goal is to do the tread Mill 30 Min every day. I may split it between morning and night and do exercises on the total Gym for 10 min everyday. I need to do this. emoticon

Week 3 Day 4 - got my walk in this morning before work - had the pedometer on, the whole lot and when I got home the pedometer had not worked - it had run out! Anyhoo, been better with the food tracking and off to zumba this evening so hopefully this is the kick start I need. Bootcamp is still threatening.....

W3D2 I forgot to do this yesterday. I got my fitness time in including ST at Curves. Didn't track food or work on snacks.

W3D3 I'll do this now so I don't forget again today. Will try tracking today. Eating out with friends tonight but not sure when. I will try not to let that throw me off. Will get fitness time in.

Week 3 Day 3 - have done resistance band video on top of the strength training routine as designed by SP. Enjoyed my Zumba class yesterday despite having a face like a beetroot at the end of it that I'm heading off to another one tomorrow. And because I know I'm going I don't feel quite so bad at having gone slightly over today on my food. It's all beginning to come together - patience and practice makes perfect!

W3D1 Strength training done and cardio at 94 minutes so far. I did not track today but will resume tomorrow. I only tracked three days last week even though I had set a goal to do four. I will re-set that goal for 4, plus continue to meet the cardio and strength training goals.

One of my challenges is getting enough protein so I will work on meeting my protein goal each day.

Week 3 Day 2 - not a great day yesterday for either tracking food or exercise. Went way over on calorie intake and way way under on exercise. Today we're back on track with both and am going to try out my first ever Zumba class and hopefully that'll get the pounds or even a pound dropping off.

W3 D1 FBS 99 First time under 100 since March. Weight Day down 3 lbs for the week that is an enormous amount for me. Have been trying a juicing diet seems to be working. emoticon

Day 1 Week 3 and still no weight loss but even better no weight gain. Looking back over week 2 efforts and it's been the exercising that I've fallen down on (not literally LOL). So this is the week where I've got to pull it all off and lose some weight or I've threatened me with the 28 Day Boot camp challenge!

B.S. 101 truly it is good, had to change my workout seem like I have stop losing weight, but hope it because of the 4th of july eating, other wise all is well I even made it 71 minute jogging this morning new area for me, getting stronger as the days go by, hope evryone is holding on, encourage youself tomake it. emoticon

Tuesday, Day 3 week 3: So I lost 5 pounds after week1 of doing everything right & making all the right choices. Then today I got on the scale & THEY"RE BACK! I have still been doing okay on my calories & cardio so what is the deal? Guess I'll just keep plugging along & see how I end up for week 8 of this challenge. NEVER GIVE UP! emoticon

FBS at 6 AM was 113, I went out and did 3 hours in the yard, retested 96 emoticon
then had a very healthy breakfast, scrambled egg, high fiber toast light butter sub, sugar free jelly.
