I have been so gungho and motivated, I forgot to check in. I am doing Wii fit and it said I am at my lowest point yet. I still have 4 days till weigh in!!!! I am okay with food. We are broke so all meals are made at home!!! It is those flush weeks that my meal plan goes out the window!! Good strength to you all and success aweights!! LOL

I went over my calories for breakfast today. Not a good way to start the day. I'll need to be careful the rest of my meals today.

After breakfast I took my dog for a 25 minute fast walk and did not get winded. That felt really good!!!!!

Week Two here we come! It looks like there are a lot of starting week two! Yay!

I feel pretty confident about this week. Not only am I attempting to make my meals at home, but I am trying to follow my recommended Spark Nutrition Plan. I sometimes alter item by item based on what I have in the pantry.

The end of week one I weighed myself and lost .8 of a lbs. Now I am down to 162.4. I have lost a total of almost 5 lbs, though some of that is the initial loss of water weight. I am less bloated. Anyway, I look forward to seeing what else I can lose this week.

Week 2 Day 1: WOO HOO!! I made it! LOL

No change in weight, but it has been a very stressful week in our household with swing shifting and school starting and all. I FEEL like I've got my eating well under control...but often at the end of the day I find I let an extra 200-300 calories sneak in after dinner, even though I'm not truly hungry - just kind of lost - so I guess I eat where I used to smoke. I'd rather struggle with the eating than go through quitting smoking again!!! :D

I'm staying positive, regardless of scale results this week. I am excited about trying out some new low-carb recipes next week with my husband and m-i-l AND s-i-l joining in. I have really let the exercise portion go, and am breaking back into it as if I were a beginner, just doing 10 minute segments this week where less than a month ago I did 40 minutes per morning. But I need freshness and newness and a change up, so I'm trying different things. I may be off to a slow start, but slow and steady can be victorious at the end of the race!!

Day 1 - Still raining here with frequent downpours so I'll be walking a store and doing house cleaning to get in my cardio. Today is also my day for strength training so I'll be doing that here.

WK2 Day 1 - I walked around the store today. It has been raining a lot today so i don't know if we can get in our other normal bike ride. I will try to get in some WII fit and possibly the bike ride. Otherwise just the walking today. ;)

Taking this journey one day at a time.

I actually started on wednesday of week 1 and then came the holidays with my husband home. So I didn't track things very well but I did try to eat a little better and drink my water. This morning my scale says I've lost 6 lbs. That's the water weight so now comes the hard part - keeping it up. I went shopping and bought things to cook rather than eating out so much this week and I'm scheduled for the water aerobics again tomorrow (I went last week). Two weeks in a row will be an accomplishment for me. It's cool outside so I think I will go do some walking in my neighborhood.

Had a teriffic day yesterday at the Fair. Drank 10 glasses of water, my eating was great, and although I didn't walk as much as I wanted I did over 3200 steps and believe me I am feeling it today.

My goals for today is to eat smart, drink my water, go to the fitness center and get on the treadmill and bike and do 15 minutes (I have been a total couch potato most of my life), and clean house.

Caught a stomach bug. Not feeling so hot. Tracked food what little i have eaten today. Managed my 30 minutes yesterday but not gonna be able to do it today. BGL fasting was 153 but I know why. Hope to feel better tomorrow and get back on program. Week 3 tomorrow.

Week 2; Day 7. Tomorrow is my weigh-in day. Not sure if I lost anything, but I am gaining my strength back and am back to eating my 3 carbs per meal and an evening carb snack.

Today it will be just my cardio as my body needs a rest from the strengthening workout. My thighs are using muscles that must have been dormant for awhile. lol I can sure feel them now though. The lunges is what did my thighs in. They are hard, but effective.

So because I was ill, I will not get my 3 days of strength training in this week. Oh well, it was not planned to get so ill. I will for sure be able to get all strength training in during my 3rd week of this challenge. Yeah me!

This is my first post for week 2. My FBS fluctuates between 95 and 136 depending on the day. I haven't figured it out yet, but I will. Yesterday I spent over 8 hours wandering around the NE State Fair with my kids. This morning I was sore and stiff but I still got on my Wii and did 52 minutes of the Wii Fit biking game. I feel good. I have been tracking most of my food, but often I'm just too busy to stop what I'm doing and log on here to track. Plus, 98% of everything I eat is homemade from my own recipes- I find the Spark People tracker difficult to use when there are more than two or three ingredients in a dish. It just takes up too much time. I've started adding flax seeds or coconut oil to things to help increase my calorie intake to 1000 calories a day.

Week 2; Day 6. Checking in. Yesterday was great. I have about 75% of my strength back! Will be doing 30 minutes on my bike, the strength video and walking my dog today, as well as picking up some groceries and paying my water bill today.

Got kind of crazy here yesterday evening and went to bed before i realized I had forgotten to post. Yesterday I was in range for all nutrition goals (yay) and did 30 minutes on elliptical. Glucose still kind of high. Today I found a Zumba video on Youtube and did 10 minutes (thats all I could do. Was sweating like crazy) then ST. Glucose was down this morning some from yesterday. Hope its even lower in the morning.

Well, I'm on week 2 but not sure of what day. The past couple days at my mom's I did an hour of swimming and then did some curls and pullups and whatever other strengthening exercises I could think of while in the pool. I need to make sure that when my alarm goes off in the morning that I get up and get on the treadmill. I've got a set of weights now and a resistance band so I can start using those after my morning walk/job. I've got a couple meals planned for the week, but need to work on the rest. I'm plodding along one day at a time.

This is my first check in for Week 2, despite being on day 4. Life has been a little busy lately! I think I've hit my first plateau after losing nearly 40 pounds. I'm exercising more than ever before and tracking my food daily. I'm not frustrated yet- I feel my body changing, and I know my muscles are getting stronger and more toned. I'm just gonna keep up the work and know that I'll get through it!

Week 2; Day 5. FB: 95. I need to eat me some breakfast! Recooperating from an intestinal/stomach virus has made my stomach shrink and it is difficult to eat as much as I am supposed to. I will try to do more nibbling today rather than 3 meals and a snack (which is what my diabetic coach prescribed.

I am off to walk my dog this morning. Will get strength done today too.

This is the start of week 2 for me. I ran for 15 minutes today... which I thought was going to kill me but I didn't get defeated I turned around and went swimming for 30 laps to make up for not running the whole 30 minutes. I didn't do too good last week going to make up for it and get a move on. I can do this!

Week 2; Day 4. I walked my dog all 4 times today for a total of about 1.5 miles. My strength is slow at coming back. Gonna try the strengthen video before going to bed. Eating was pretty good today too and drank all my water already.

Its week two and day 6 or at least I think its day 6? I am losing the days! I did a 35 min walk, been drinking my 8 glasses of water or more a day and try and do at least 45 min to a hour of exercise each day. I am trying to stay under 175 carbs a day and 1600 cal diet. I have lost 3lbs this week so far. emoticon

Only week 2 and it's been really hard to stay on track already. I did really well in week one, and really struggled in week 2. Well, this week I'll be on vacation. No travel, just getting the kid ready for back to school so hopefully I'll be able to get a little better organized too.

Week 2; Day 3. Feeling better today and had a healthy breakfast of scrambled egg, cinnamin raisin bread and a glass of gaterade. Blood sugars are back to normal and was 101 this morning. My energy levels are much better than yesterday and will attempt a ride on my stationary bike later today, but at a slow pace so I don't over do it.

Glad to be back on the mend!
