Day 1 of Week 2. Made it all the way to the art gallery - I wouldn't have considered that walking distance before.

thanks for the birthday wishes, Sally!!

day 2 felt a sharp pain in my lower achilles tendon while jogging and stretched out my calves a lot that day. toned down the intensity on day 3.

doing well on day 4. sometimes i'll get in the zone, forget to look at my watch and jog 2 mins instead of 1.5. it's a good thing :))

keep up the great work everyone!!!

CONGRATS JU_ISH!!!

it's day 1 for me and curious what everyone's doing on their cross training days. I've been brisk walking and thinking of adding some stair climbing. also pumping weights for upper and core strength. keep pushing and have a great week!

I had done the first 3 days of the program with no problem. However, on the 4 training day, I must have pushed myself just too hard/far and ended up with shin splints. Thought they were doing better today until I ran from the car through the garage into the house and realized the shin splints are NOT gone! So bummed! I don't want to have to restart this program. I love it. I love that I'm running. Guess I will have to go back to walking only for awhile.

I'm keeping up with week 2. I did my first (not official and on the treadmill) 5k on day 1. I am on the Shred Revolution diet and had to exercise for 45 minutes so I went for it. The 5k took me 48 minutes. I have a setlist of fun music videos that I watch. That helped to keep me going. My goal this year is to run the Samaritan's 5k in October with a decent time. (Under 45 minutes) I think I can do it if I stick to the plan all year!

Shine on you crazy diamond.

A Runner's High - As I understand it, it's the surge of endorphins to the brain that causes a euphoric feeling during a mid to long distance run... Personally I have experienced it only twice in my life, and I've been running many years... Sure would like to get back to that point again though, it's pretty cool...

I've decided I'm going to repeat week 2. I've upped my speed & how long I walk/jog. I'm up to about 1.5 -2 miles in about 35 min. I didn't work out at all 2 days this week due to a severe migraine. Then yesterday I didn't do as much as I wanted to, should have rested a bit after wearing heels all day. Live & learn.

Anyway, I'll do week 2 again.
