You have done so well with this challenge. I also have the book or good movie problem. So, I set two alarms. One at 10:00 to tell me to get ready for bed and one at 11:30 to crawl in bed and shut the lights off. I am not perfect, but at least when I stay up till 2am reading, I am conscious that I made that choice.

i sleep better now that I am using my sleep apnea machine. I no longer wake up every couple of hours. Therefore, I am more rested in the mornings. I still keep irregular sleep hours. After I sleep for 7 and 8 hours, I have a night where I can't seem to get to sleep. Also migraines and Meniere's Disease (fluid in the inner ear) affect my ability to sleep sometimes. I also get started on a book and forget the time until I nearly fall asleep. What I need to do is make sure I stop everything and get to bed by midnight.
