I am only on week 3 but wanted to read group comments regarding sleep apps and your question caught my eye.
Many sleep articles state the bedroom should be for sleeping and sex only I go in the bedroom in the afternoon sometimes to read for a couple reasons so this is my personal exception. My husband only sleeps with the TV on if I have the TV on it is music nature sounds or spa (uverse) so now occasionally we sleep together but usually we sleep better separately. I think you consider what works best for your relationship and YOU. At first we got caught up in the communication in our relationship in this issue and saving electricity.

My life tomorrow will be the result of my attitudes and the choices I make today.

Back in my bedroom with my partner. These past two nights, I stopped drinking coffee at 9:30am each day (total of only 3 cups of coffee) - I found that I slept much better both nights. I will try it again today!

GREAT night sleep last night - 81% sleep rating!! I turned the air conditioner down so it was a little cooler - still sleeping in the guest room by myslef. Wow, what a difference a good night sleep makes!

Need your advice - between the Sleep App ratings and the overall way I feel during the day, I find I sleep MUCH better when I do not share the room/bed with my partner. If I sleep in the guest room I get a much deeper, more restful sleep. I believe that my partners snorig and tossing and turning in the bed wake me during the night, preventing me for getting into a deep sleep. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Has your wife/husband/partner been okay with you sleeping in the other room?? What to do???

I have been using this app for a long time. I like the fact that you know how much movement was recorded during the night as opposed to Fitbit just noting sleep or not sleeping. I find that I strive to get more sleep with the app and I like falling asleep to my music selections.

I found this IPhone app that "measures" your sleep cycles. It is called Sleep Cycle. You start app when you go to sleep - you keep the phone on the bed and it measures your movements in the bed - very similar to the Fitbit, but I feel it provides you more information. The app rates your quality of sleep based on how much sleep you get and how much deep sleep (no movement in bed) you get. I find that the app helps me get more sleep - I really try to get to bed earlier. I highly recommend this app!! Has anyone else tried it?
